4	Tips from a fat guy: How I went from homely to handsome There are some excellent (audio)books out there on building self-esteem; here are a couple of my favorites: Nathaniel Branden - "The six pillars of Self-Esteem" Jack Canfield - "Self-Esteem & Peak Performance" Self-esteem needs to be build and nurtured - just like you said, it's not flicking on a switch. You could always become a Dandy with some aspects of a Coquette (all defined in that book). Dandies have a very high sense of fashion and an ambiguity and aloofness about them that makes women feel safe around them.
