| 9 | Why divorce if things are amicable?Being amicable isn't enough for some. Why stay in a loveless sexless marriage? Let's say there are no kids involved, you've become roommates, share income and expenses, live in separate rooms, yet one or both of you needs more than a platonic companion. Staying is safe and comfortable, mostly drama-free, but offers no chance for growth, for the chance at something meaningful with another person. or simply healing one's own issues and past traumas. | /r/Divorce_Men | 02/03/26 12:36 PM |
| 4 | Question for divorced men. Why do some of you see an fwb instead of a prostitute for sex and vice versa why do some of you see a prostitute instead of a fwb?My divorce isn't final, so I haven't made the decision yet. AFTER time to become emotionally grounded and work on healing, we shall see. My life experience has been no FWB. Are they really that common? My relationship history is that sex must have an emotional component or I'm not interested. Conversely, an escort/prostitute interaction is purely transactional with that understood upfront. I'm not sure I can be detached enough to separate sex from friendship in an FWB situation. | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/12/25 01:49 PM |
| 1 | Just curious - who moved out?I think cohabitating until divorce is more common than people think. In our case, we've agreed to live in separate bedrooms until we are ready to sell the house. We'll each take money out of savings/emergency fund for first/last/deposit while the house is staged for sale. I can afford the mortgage, she can't. To buy out her equity would leave me with a home, but not much left in the 401k after she gets half. | /r/Divorce_Men | 27/03/25 10:58 AM |
