Surprisingly, most seems to be willing to keep so far. Either way, I still keep my opinion it is to much ado for too little.

I think the term you are looking for is "egalitarian"? EDIT: because if not, I believe the answer is "no".

And so begins the edit wars. I still think you guys are giving more attention to it than it should. It is an online encyclopedia where "anyone" can edit as long as it amuses some people responsible there.

I lost a friend to this shit. He is mature enough to be responsible for his own decisions, but it does show what stupid ideologies and self-blame (or pride) can do to a smart person nonetheless. I smelled it growing on him since many years ago. The last time I talked to him was when I pointed him a video about libertarianism and said that I was reading, among other things, Ron Paul (and although my main subject of interest in this case was economics, it is impossible to not bump on politics when…

We don't need to be religious but hey, we can ignore it at our own peril this 5000 years of wisdom (which is actually 5,000 years old wisdom).

I like when people here ponder if they are becoming just the extreme opposite of the same spectrum. I just don't think this is worth to think about. Suppose that people think you are crazy for prefering to be with your dogs instead of people. So what? What if we replace dogs for books? Will they respect you more now? I've met two cat ladies in my life and both of them were very friendly. One of them maintained a shelter for abandoned, hurt, sick, or mistreated cats. In the end the "crazy cat lad…

I wouldn't be so sure about US economy recovery. The country is yet to swallow the bitter medicine necessary for this happen, and I don't think it could happen in an year or two. I'm not american but I do believe it will recover. This country has an amazing history of surviving many dark times.

Very well written, almost no citation needed. Congratulations. I see there somethings being repeated, but overall this is very good. I'm positively surprised. I'm sorry if I'm being that guy who will throw water in your beer, but I don't think this is going to be kept. Whatever the excuse is, I think it will deleted.

I traveled a lot in my country where there is a lot of different cultures. It is overrated to me. Although the most interesting things that I got from it was the talk with people of different cultures, we are not that different from each other. Even more today, considering how media overall defines a lot of our customs worldwide, and everyone seems more homogenous than ever. You can have a conversation in real time with anyone in the world practically for free, without having to leave your bed. …

I'm not sure if I see your point. I acknowledged exactly what you said, and that is I why was why they don't live by themselves(senior communities and groups) instead of looking for validation from people that don't care about them.

Something that I don't understand is why old people are not so united. Maybe when I get there I might understand. But sometimes I get the feeling that they should just give the finger to people tha don't care about them and live by themselves. I would say their wisdom, wealth, and serenity would bring them much more happiness instead of looking for approval from those who see them as "second class citizen". Helio Gracie seemed to be quite alright with that, living on the mountains in a simple pr…

His movies are the very few that eviscerates me. I only watched Mulholland Drive from him, and I got the same feeling. Guess his prefered trope is "life sucks"(his experiences with living in Philadelphia seems to pretty much wires his movies). As I was watching Eraserhead yesterday, I was thinking "thats enough Lynch in my life", but now I want to watch more.

I wonder if we could extrapolate that situation to the point where men will start to not going to university anymore to avoid this, and look for education informally or by himself(I'm in a similar case). This is not a problem in some professions (IT and math for example) but some requires a license to work (doctors, civil engineers). I wonder how much would have to happen to the point where enough competent man will end up taking the risks of working and entrepreneuring informally to the point w…

All this sounds very familiar, just darker. If you've decided to go MGTOW, then do it. Don't look back over your shoulder, hoping that they'll notice you're gone and wish you were back. They have no sympathy for you. I wish we could have more of this kind of awareness hey, but hey, who am I to ask anything to anyone.

It does. Even more because it lacks context. If there was clarification about all the potential consequences of a man intervening (like death, or in the case the woman does not press charges, the intervener might be prosecuted for a lot of things), it would at least make (some) people think about it. Still about the context of the poster, I wonder if is there any data about how many of these woman assaulted by her husband has the possibility to leave (shelter, friends, family). My personal exper…

I don't see how being frugal would mean having poor health. In fact, it is my experience that almost everything that is good for your health are free or very cheap (besides, obviously, medical bills): fresh food, sports, good friends, places free from pollution... Maybe it is the place where I live, but whoever is eating ramen to save money is doing as wrong as going on foot tens of kilometers to save money.

Your labor is valuable to society, the 'socially acceptable' narrative will be for your labor to be cheap. People will try to under pay you. People will try to take the fruits of your labor by selling you over priced consumer products that you dont need. People will waste your time will mind numbing-time wasting 'entertainment' between shifts, rather than with Art that might make you think about your exploitation. You will be shamed into risking more than half your labor to forced subsidization …

Been there, done that. I wonder how much people from here didn't. Two years following a unicorn (who eventually shown herself as a slut), and one week after I got fed up and told her to fuck off, she was sucking my dick. I will be honest here. Although the most obvious things are being shown to you right now, I would bet that sooner or later you meet a NAWALT and rationalize how things are not entirely like that, you don't need to be so harsh with the world out there, etc. I don't know you, it i…

I don't know if it would be secluded enough to get attention... I know that being in a high altitude, cold small place would get the vibe of something like on the League Of Shadows headquarters, but is not something like it. There is a lot of youtube channels from people living secluded if you search for "homestead", for example.

EDIT: I should have taken into account the "specifically western" in the title. I might be severelly disinformed on this. If I take buddhism as Siddharta original teaching (as possible as it can be, considering how long ago he lived), its core can pretty much be summarized to: World sucks Accept it Profit/Peace Most, if not all of his teachings, seems to be related to how to accepted that, although you still can improve many things in your life, there will always be things that you will not be a…

MGTOWs are basically neutral in the current gender wars. We just want to be left out of the whole damn thing, and yet for some fucked up reason, they want to try to drag us into it. It is the exceptions that breaks the models. We see here and there a few clear cases of anger and hate ("anger phase"?), and that is probably what they will focus at.
