I'm asian and i don't agree with you on embracing asian culture. there is nothing to embrace really. I really was soured when I went to Korea and felt largely rejected by my own people because I was basically just another american. I think asians, like every other race, have awesome things about that particular race. I used to be the exact opposite, meaning, I felt very strongly towards a general idea of "embracing the Asian in me", then I realized it means nothing. Simple as that. I do think yo…

Yeah, you don't even have to be funny, or the person everyone wants to be around. At least from what i've noticed. I just try and stay fit, and try to focus on what im doing and people seem to talk to me. I dont really try that hard with people at all, in fact, i'm usually either hung over from drinking or tired as shit from working out, or nerding hard when im actually doing work and will nerd everyone else out trololol and seriously enjoy being as troll as possible. but seriously, im in either…

Agreed. The whole classification thing is kind of high school grade psychology really. Life is fantastically more complex than generalizations.

I am an introvert, but I actually find "typically" uninteresting people interesting. I enjoy the nuances of the way people think, react and choose to speak.

If you are a college age male reading this, I can most assuredly tell you your hormones are in control, not you. Once you are aware of that, my next advice is standard: be reasonable, be calm, be happy. There is nothing more desirable than normal, apart from what others say. If introducing yourself, "Hey" is totally appropropriate, followed up by "What's your name?". "Hey" and "What's your name" are two perfectly reasonable things to say to just about anyone. Carry that with you. Whats your name…

I have my own "unique" way, because Im actually quite socially awkward, enjoy tech talk and geeky philosophical stuff (ok, nerd), but I think it comes across to people whom i do talk to that Im "really trying" and they give me the time of day simply for realizing im not an idiot. (I think thats generally one of the first things ascertained beyond is this person attractive or not attractive to me, is "this person an idiot or not?"). But its not easy!! :D Wish i were simply a super attractive guy …

Just curious, what would you say if he walked in all alone and started chatting you up? In all honesty please. I went to a bar completely alone and was mortified for the first 10 minutes as no one talked to me, and everyone was talking amongst themselves, until I had the nerve to talk to someone, and the moment i did that, alot of people started to talk with me.

if this guy was just a stranger and not already friends with your friend, i believe this would be a different story. People seem to behave, think, and percieve the same scenario completely differently simply based on context. "Oh, some random guy started to talk to me, what a pick up artist, yuck, even though he's cute he's just a PUA, forget it" (guessing here)

Yeah, I wouldn't even say what you observe other than "Hey, youre always around here! How you doing?" Smile and you should wait a few seconds to expect a response and then go off that. You don't even have to do this gracefully, or subversively, just straight on. Do the eyebrow up and down to provoke a response to indicate a slight interest even :D Corny works man. Last thing anyone needs is someone taking record of someone elses comings and goings.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
