You guessed it. PCOS and a basically useless thyroid (actually getting tested for Hashimoto's soon). My doctor didn't want to put me on meds unless I was trying to conceive, since "they're too harsh," so I'm finding a new doctor who will take my concerns more seriously in the present. I had a lot of success with Metformin as a teen, but when I went to college, the lack of meds, stress levels, and hormone fluctuations really screwed me over. It was like, no matter how clean I ate and how much I w…

Yeah, the overly frilly look is so cute, but it just doesn't work for me! I like a feminine look, but just...cleaner? And darker, if that makes sense. My personal style isn't very traditionally feminine. I like dark colors, some patterns (ex: I love a nice floral, and it's my opinion that some leopard accent pieces never hurt anybody), one of my favorite outfits is my Starry Night Doctor Who shirt with a midi skirt and ballet flats. I guess I'm just hoping to find a way to remain true to the sty…

I can see how it seems like I'm making excuses, and I guess in a way, I am. But I am actually working on it (getting on the right meds to help me out, working out more, cleaning up my diet). I love this list! It sounds like you have such a happy relationship with your Captain! I would love to meal prep for him, but he's so particular about cooking for himself- he's an extremely picky eater and would rather cook for himself, which I don't mind since I'd rather that he's comfortable. (I've had to put my ego aside for that, haha) However, I would love to cook for him on occasion! Especially combined with taking care of the house when he's gone.....I love that. I'm going to start doing …

Taking better care of my skin!! I find doing this to be both relaxing and rewarding. My boyfriend even told me that my skin is looking good, so that makes me feel good. Getting reacquainted with yoga. I love how in tune with my body I feel when I've been doing yoga, and I haven't been doing it lately. Bullet journaling. Trying new recipes. Especially ones that are healthy and PCOS weight loss friendly! DIY mani/pedis! This always makes me feel so pampered and put together. It's like as soon my n…
