If her apology didn’t ‘cut it’, what the hell was he looking for, other than a reason to scream at and belittle her some more? Pos. She handled this like an absolute boss and I wish her the best.

For real. A man I work with (who is at least mid-forties and therefore 15+ years older than me) thinks it’s perfectly acceptable to talk in baby voice to get my attention. Then sulks when I ignore him. You’re hurting your own feelings dude, get the hell out of my face acting like that. And that’s only only one of his antics! It’s beyond pathetic.

I’ve been waiting for someone to mention this! One of the many scenes that really shook me was when that group of men were giving, correct me if I’m wrong, the one who was planning on leaving his wife, advice on how to essentially leave her with nothing. It was so upsetting how they were taking joy in plotting his way out while simultaneously ruining her life. It was so cruel and it got me questioning the motives of men even more too.

Something like this happened to me a couple years ago. I was in the passenger seat of my friend’s car, we were at a stoplight. It was hot, I had my window down. Out of nowhere this black SUV drives up ONTO the sidewalk to not only hit on me, but to offer me a “job”. Since we were stuck behind another car we couldn’t leave right away, but I immediately rolled my window up and we booked it as soon as we could and took some detours on our way to lunch to make sure he didn’t follow us. This shit is …

Beautiful ring and beautiful nails! I’m saving up for a ring to represent this same promise to myself. 🥰

Just the other day a man in a van tried to drive me off the street because he was upset I merged ahead of him...in a merging lane! But we're the emotional, irrational ones, right???

Just when I thought I couldn't be any more disgusted by men and the callous shit they say about women. How comfortable they are saying it. And to other women! What the actual fuck.

It's so off-putting, but sadly I see this a lot as well. My gym buddy (who wanted to work out to lose some weight and improve her overall health) stopped going to the gym with me early on because her boyfriend didn't like that she wore leggings around other men and accused her of having ulterior motives for working out. In leggings. And just simply working out in general. She saw nothing alarming about that, and instead justified her quitting for him with 'Whatever, I accept myself as is'. This …

I truly—TRULY wish I'd had FDS in my life years ago. I'm so sad for my younger self and what she put up with. Embarrassing story ahead. When I first started OLD, I agreed to a coffee date with a guy (who's profile pic was of an actor I didn't recognize until later when he told me he did it to troll women—RED FLAG and one of many). I was first at the cafe, ordered my drink and a pastry...sat there like a clown waiting for him to get there. When I tried to reach him, nothing. I got stood up. But t…

Thank you so much for the advice. The more she tells me about these awful guys, the more upset I get, and since I do like having her in my life, the 'no guy talk' boundary is absolutely necessary, so I'll be setting it. You also brought up a good point that I'd been feeling/noticing but couldn't articulate—her identity being made around other people. I think that's exactly what's happened, unfortunately. And I love what you do for your friends and family! I admit I'm not the greatest at gifts lo…

How do you help someone you know realize that the men in her life are trash? I know a woman who tolerates not only her SO's, but her male friends' terrible behavior. Calling her a b*tch for "laughs", talking crap about other women, not knowing how to pick up after themselves, in their 30's dating 19 year olds etc. The list goes on. And all of these things no matter how absurd, she allows or even justifies because 'well, they're good guys'. It really makes me see her differently than I used to, b…

What a vile POS. I'm so sorry that happened to you and I know you've already been told multiple times already but that is assault and you have EVERY right to be upset and angry about it. You should be able to enjoy your walks, your life, freely and it's so infuriating that we as women simply aren't allowed to because of men like him. It shouldn't surprise me, and yet men continue to prove how low they're willing to stoop to because of their fragile egos and entitlement. Sending hugs and support …
