No, and certainly not by law, but right-wing MRAs certainly don't respect or accept gender non-conforming men, and the cultural part is just as important as the legal part. Even legally-speaking: look at the Honey Badgers' rhetoric on BLM. Hearing it from them, you'd think the only reason police do horrible shit and get away with it is because their victims didn't have fathers. Men's rights is (and should be) a big tent, but damn me if I don't disagree like hell with a lot of them.

I don't know if you've seen Paul Elam's personal Facebook page, but (at least privately) he's very much a traditionalist. They've effectively done it in a lot of the U.S. already - in my home state (Utah), the policy is for men who complain to the police about being abused to be arrested (since the woman was presumably engaging in "preemptive self-defense" against a "likely abuser").

I apologize for nitpicking, but you should be clear that you mean "70% of nonreciprocal domestic violence". ~80% of domestic violence is reciprocal (men and women being roughly equal participants in the violence), and ~20% is nonreciprocal; of that 20%, 70% is female-instigated. There's a big difference between 14% and 70%, and we don't want to mislead people.

The p-values the author of the post came up with are almost all >0.05, which means that there's no statistically-significant correlation. The only figure that was lower than 0.05 was the overall death rate. BLM is a decentralized movement and every chapter operates autonomously of the others. The BLM website was founded by a couple of feminists, but don't trust it to tell you anything about what your local BLM chapter does or believes in. I know this isn't directly relevant to the OP, but early in America's history, it was actually illegal for a man to be abused (specifically, against U.S. common law). No, not illegal to abuse a man - illegal for the man to "allow" himself to be abused. I'll be honest that I don't know much at all about the specific practices in Europe, but Europe and America have had such similar practices that it would be a bit surprising if there wasn't something similar in Europe.

You can still administer a survey and find out if that person was raped, and whether they reported that rape to the police or not. It's because depression frequently exhibits in men as anger or risk-taking behavior rather than sadness or apathy. There are major stigmas for men against showing that they're sad or unconfident, so many men express themselves through more socially-acceptable ways instead.

Agreed. The definitions of depression that therapists and psychologists use is woman-centered and actually obscures a lot of the symptoms that men express, which aren't necessarily things like outward expressions of sadness.
