And that constant threat of violence or exclusion is what perpetuates that kind of macho culture. Who are you to decide how and where other people should express themselves?

And you were the one who brought up evolution, it is unimportant to me, at the risk of repeating myself, i am interested in the wellbeing of people. Now who is injecting their own biases?

That is a complete diversion from the subject, social phenomena will most likely have very little influence on biological evolution. ... as stated, however, my views on this thread are concerned with the wellbeing of individuals.

Of course I'm injecting my own biases, hence the idea of a debate. I don't plan on taking a balanced view and allow RP teachings to influence potentially damaged people when there is a perfectly logical flipside that otherwise may go ignored. From the point of reproduction, my thoughts extend further than simply conception but to the wellbeing of all those involved in the process.

However if reproduction is the end goal then surely you wouldn't want to mate with someone you didn't respect as an equal, to share a life with someone who did not value kindness sounds like hell. I have a family of my own and did not behave like a jackass or obsess over sex to make it happen and neither did any of my friends or partners. My point is that RP have a negative view of women because they are prioritising sex whilst, at the same time, viewing women who do the same as 'sluts' and igno…

Is sex really that important to you that you are allowing your personality to be shaped around 'obtaining' it? There are many people out there who value kindness and compassion above all else and tRP's ideas that these values should be stamped out is surely the driving reason for the subs opinions on women, if you behave in a unpleasant fashion then the only people who will be interested in being around you are likely to be unpleasant people. Thus providing more ammunition for anger and unhappin…

Which is probably a large contributing factor to TRP's prevailing negative or 'old-fashioned' view of women.

Because of the social construct, you kind of answered your own question. There are many places where what you describe is not the case.

I will start by saying that I think this is a ridiculous question. Men achieved the things you mention simply because in most societies it has previously been the case that women were treated as second class citizens. It was forbidden for them to be educated, they were not allowed to participate in democracy and they were excluded from serving in the military. They were seen primarily as child carers and servants to men, this is why there is disproportionate gender representation in the fields y…

Even if your generalised point is true (a quick look at academic achievement according to gender in modern schools suggests otherwise) why would that cause you to feel hatred towards them? And how about my other questions?

I just gave you the social context, women were treated like second class citizens in the past, not educated, not given the right to participate in democracy, often refused the right to work and viewed primarily as child carers, there are shadows from this past belief that still shape our world today.... this is why male achievements are disproportionately high. You seem to view humanitarian work as less important as scientific based work and I'm not sure why. What do you work as, may I ask?

Again, just generalisations, you acknowledge yourself that your experience with women is not very high, I think you should try hang around with different people for a while and allow for the possibility that you could be quickly and easily proved wrong. There are some amazing people out there and they don't all have penises. Having said that, I am a male and I have been whining all day and am very insecure.

You are ignoring the social context that explains why most of those feats are achieved by males, namely that many previous societies have had similar views towards women as your own. Love and lust are selfish emotions (although incredible and powerful), I can agree with you there, I just don't follow the logic to your conclusion of - therefore we should hate women.

That doesn't sound like misogyny to me, just that you don't want a relationship, which is a common choice. Many people are happier on their own but many people are also happier with someone or might have found the perfect person for them and are compatible living together and being together exclusively with someone they love. Others fight to make relationships work or choose less conventional alternatives such as open relationships, platonic relationships, committed relationships without living …

Lot's of people are obnoxious, why do you generalise all women together instead of just avoiding obnoxious people?

It could easily be curiosity, or the fact that it seems irrational without an explanation. I'm always interested in people's motivations as it might bring something up that I have not considered.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/10/15 01:58 PM

No of course it doesn't matter I was simply curious, personally I would certainly expect to be held to the same standards that I looked for in a partner, I would never want an unequal relationship. Your point of interrupting for example, it drives me crazy as well when anyone interrupts me mid-flow, therefore I make sure not to do that to others.

Would you expect her to have the same standards towards your behaviour?

As you said, we clearly differ in opinion.

You do at least concede that it is an opinion and not just you dictating to others what their identity is.

I hope you have no link to the field in your professional life, you seem lacking in both comprehension and empathy.

Again, that isn't the case for many people, their genitals and exterior do not represent their identity. It isn't a black and white issue and sex and gender identity are vastly different.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/08/15 06:52 PM

You did not say sex you said gender identity. Body dysmorphia is not just negative feelings.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/08/15 06:36 PM

Again, you show a complete ignorance and lack of understanding of body dysmorphia.

No but but identifying with one or the other does.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/08/15 06:19 PM

Plenty of people identify with gender that is not the same as the genitals they are born with. Just because you don't understand gender dysmorphia doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

Ah well if one person was fine with it then that must apply to everyone! Just do a little of your own research

Just treat each other as equal human beings.

My ex-girlfriend contracted flu and already had other health complications and so was put on steroids for a while, she actually grew fuzzy but noticeable facial hair (mustache and beard) for a period. It didn't bother me in the slightest, I still found her attractive and we still had sex (after she was healthy again obviously). People should choose whatever they want to do with their bodies and if it is a problem for you then it is you that will miss out on the potentially amazing person underne…

I think if so long as you are happy to be held by the same standards by which you judge others then it isn't really irrational. I think that not allowing yourself to fall in love with some who has previously had many sexual partners is just as irrational as not allowing yourself to fall in love with someone who is short, but that's just me.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/15 10:38 AM

Do you expect to be held to those same standards? That you should in some way be less desirable because you have had sex with lots of people?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/04/15 12:45 PM
You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
