Depending on the circumstances, you can be sent to jail for accidentally killing someone. Manslaughter and murder are related (they are both unlawful homicides), but they are distinct crimes. To summarize, the Judge found him innocent on all charges since he could find no reasonable proof that he made any threats against her person.
