| 9 | Woman pushes husband off 45-ft balcony "as a joke" at a famous stage magician's showMore articles here. I do think that if the genders were reversed this would not be written off as a joke without further investigation. I also doubt that Brown would be "sending best thoughts to" both of them if it were the other way around. | /r/MensRights | 23/12/13 05:57 PM |
| 9 | Major story in USA TODAY on the double standard applied to the sexual abuse of boys by women!A lot of 'if a boy has an erection it was not rape'. Sounds to me exactly like the people who say that if a woman gets pregnant it's not rape. | /r/MensRights | 18/11/13 11:26 PM |
| 17 | Major story in USA TODAY on the double standard applied to the sexual abuse of boys by women!Be sure to check the comments. Some are great and others are disgusting "men cannot be raped" tripe. | /r/MensRights | 18/11/13 03:43 PM |
| 1 | Anyone following the Chad "Ochocinco" Johnson story? Lost NFL job, wife, TV show, sponsorships, after domestic abuse allegation. Not conviction, allegation. Thanks for your comments. I don't follow football much but I did see the most recent episode of Hard Knocks as well as the previous season that Johnson appeared on. He has some behavior problems and is getting older but was so good that even at 34 he is probably better than 90% of the WRs in the NFL. I think you are onto something that the decision was primarily about Philbin asserting his dominance as a new coach rather than about making the best decision in terms of performance. | 1 | Anyone following the Chad "Ochocinco" Johnson story? Lost NFL job, wife, TV show, sponsorships, after domestic abuse allegation. Not conviction, allegation.Pretty much! It's actually a well-done show that reveals a lot of the interpersonal dynamics that you don't normally see. That's how I found about this as I don't follow sports. If the guy did headbutt her then he has some anger management issues that he should address, but watching the show there was no mention of what actually happened and the coach seemed really uncomfortable in the meeting. Seemed to me like there was something else going on here so I did some more research. Looking around, … | /r/MensRights | 20/08/12 01:04 PM |
| 3 | Anyone following the Chad "Ochocinco" Johnson story? Lost NFL job, wife, TV show, sponsorships, after domestic abuse allegation. Not conviction, allegation. That blog post is total smear piece. Ocho is outspoken and has his critics (almost every athlete does) and this guy is one of them. An NFL coach doesn't need an excuse to "let someone go". It's a very competitive business and they cut people with no remorse at all. The Dolphins preseason is being documented by the HBO show Hard Knocks and the firing itself was on this week's episode. Rather than read some armchair coach's opinion, watch the show and decide for yourself. | /r/MensRights | 20/08/12 04:07 AM |

Not conviction, allegation.More: “She was really pissed. … Evelyn is all about fame and self-promotion, and once she realized that marriage [to Johnson] wasn’t working to help that — she was out. … She’s tough and could handle the abuse, though most of it with Chad was verbal. But she can’t stand the chance of not being in the public eye anymore.” | /r/MensRights | 20/08/12 03:30 AM |

Not conviction, allegation. The details: “As they were talking, Johnson became upset and without (her) permission grabbed her and head-butted her,” according to a police report obtained by TMZ. According to NFL.com, Lozada emerged from the car with a “pretty good-sized” laceration on her head and was later taken to the emergency room at the West Side Regional Hospital, where she was treated. The police report describes a “laceration on the center of her forehead, approximately 3 inches in length.” Lozada told police that J… | /r/MensRights | 20/08/12 03:28 AM |
| 2 | Anyone following the Chad "Ochocinco" Johnson story? Lost NFL job, wife, TV show, sponsorships, after domestic abuse allegation. Not conviction, allegation. From one article: "We look at certain players who are offenders of some nature and they are forgiven and they are able to assimilate back into the league. They may change, everyone makes mistakes. You may be a gifted athlete who is learning an important lesson on the main stage and have to deal with the consequence of that offense," said Bilello. "But when it comes to a domestic dispute, there is no excuse for that," he said firmly. | /r/MensRights | 20/08/12 03:23 AM |
| 36 | Was asked to give one example of ways in which sexism hurts men today. I gave several, on of which was selective service. This was the reply.Very well done, posted to r/bestof. | /r/MensRights | 16/08/12 09:43 PM |
| 6 | This was one of the top posts in r/feminism. It made me want to punch a wall.Feminism has officially eaten itself. It has now become the very instrument of female oppression that it had once fought so hard against. Why? Because if nobody's oppressing women, then feminists are out of a job. | /r/MensRights | 16/08/12 02:51 AM |
| 1 | This was posted to Facebok by a group called "Women's Rights News". Judging by the rest of their content, they have no idea of the most important meaning of the comic - that people are too quick to judge everything as so male-dominated, even for opposite reasons.First, I don't think they are equally oppressed. Second, there's other issues involved here that make this relevant to the men's movement that I don't have time to go into detail about here. They are not hard to figure out if you think about them though. | /r/MensRights | 12/08/12 03:23 PM |

It's also one area where we can reach agreement with feminists and perhaps help them to see how "patriarchy" is also oppressive to men who don't want to fit into that limited model of gender roles. | /r/MensRights | 12/08/12 03:00 PM |

Judging by the rest of their content, they have no idea of the most important meaning of the comic - that people are too quick to judge everything as so male-dominated, even for opposite reasons. Why? Is women's free speech a women's issue and men's free speech a men's issue? Or is free speech just a human rights issue? Could be. Depends on what type of speech it is and why that speech made specifically by a woman (rather than a man) is a problem. It seems to me that homophobia stems from the idea that all sexual relationships should be heterosexual, which doesn't seem like a men's issue or a women's issue, but just a human issue. Men and women are human, so I don't see as a big of a dis… | /r/MensRights | 12/08/12 02:50 PM |

In any case, that would be a women's issue. As to why it's a men's issue, it has to do with men being held to traditional and limiting gender roles. This obviously goes well beyond attitudes towards homosexuality, however that is one of the more obvious examples. | /r/MensRights | 12/08/12 02:03 PM |

MRM is not just backlash to feminist movements, it is their male counterpart that has been/is being neglected. Both are needed for a fully evolved society. It's true that in developing countries where women don't even have some basic rights (even driving in some countries) they should focus on that first, however it's equally true that men's behaviors are also restricted in these countries (for example, homosexuality is usually taboo). | /r/MensRights | 11/08/12 02:57 PM |
| -1 | r/okcupid bashes MRM OkCupid-userLots of blatantly uninformed mischaracterizations of MRM are being upvoted while any defense, regardless of content, is downvoted. That said, I agree with this comment regarding the OKC profile in question. | /r/MensRights | 11/08/12 01:18 AM |
| 2 | George Takei just started a circumcision shitstorm on facebook. Most of the comments are pretty good, but there are quite a few nutcases on it.Even in medicine there is debate and incorrect theories being replaced (sometimes not without protest) by superior ones. The US AMA's statement lists a few potential risks that are lowered but indicates that the incidence of these risks is too small to warrant recommending the procedure for that reason. What it does not discuss is the significant loss of sexual sensation that the procedure causes. You won't see much information on this from medical sources, partly because medicine doesn't unders… | /r/MensRights | 12/07/12 09:09 PM |
| 6 | George Takei just started a circumcision shitstorm on facebook. Most of the comments are pretty good, but there are quite a few nutcases on it.Unbiased medical references? Exactly what are you looking for? Here are the official statements of national medical associations from around the world. You can find a million and one biased pages claiming contradicting facts on almost any controversial subject. You have to use your own intelligence to decide what is the most reliable information. Does the fact that you can find pages claiming to debunk evolution mean that all science on the subject must be considered biased? | /r/MensRights | 12/07/12 07:34 PM |
| 8 | George Takei just started a circumcision shitstorm on facebook. Most of the comments are pretty good, but there are quite a few nutcases on it.There are no medical issues that arise from not circumcising any more than there are medical issues that arise from not amputating your arm. Sure, bad things can happen to your arm if you don't amputate it (you could break it!), but is that a good reason to amputate it just in case? There's plenty of easily available sources on why circumcision is 1) unnecessary and 2) harmful. Inform yourself. See NOCIRC or Doctors Opposing Circumcision. | /r/MensRights | 12/07/12 06:37 PM |
| 3 | Male Circumcision and Quality of Sex Life (For Both Sexes)There's an entire book on this subject called Sex as Nature Intended It. It explains the negative effects of circumcision on sexual intercourse primarily from the women's perspective. | /r/MensRights | 09/02/12 10:09 PM |
| 3 | I can get the girl, keep her interested, but can't move forward. Now what?I never said to ask women for advice. I said to listen to what they are already telling him to do. For example, he said above: her response was 'we can still be buds and be casual with no expectations' If he was listening to her, he would know that she is saying that she is interested in having casual sex with him. I find women are actually the best teachers if you just pay attention to what they are telling you. | /r/seduction | 21/12/11 06:56 PM |
| 4 | I can get the girl, keep her interested, but can't move forward. Now what?Best advice anyone can give you is stop asking a bunch of random dudes on the internet what you are doing wrong and start listening to what these women are telling you. From your posts it sounds they are telling you exactly what to do and you are ignoring them because you are too worried about some PUA strategy bullshit. | /r/seduction | 21/12/11 12:16 AM |
