how do I get the energy to dress up?Take the style of clothes you enjoy wearing now and start acquiring them in a more feminine style. Maybe just the color to start. If you are struggling and try to force yourself to go all in, you will likely burn out. Start simple. Do something nice with your hair- YouTube has many 5 minute hair tutorials, and throw on some lip gloss. Put on one piece of of jewelry. You don’t have to be all dolled up to appear feminine. If you want to appear more feminine take smaller steps! | /r/RedPillWomen | 01/07/22 04:29 AM
Relationship AdviceYou feel less anger is not a change in his behavior. Your feeling more hopeless is not a change in his behavior. Did HE change when you changed? | /r/RedPillWomen | 05/07/21 08:22 PM
Relationship AdviceI have a far less complicated situation than you, but LD’s methods worked well for me. It didn’t make miracles happen, and I am sure that’s partly my fault too. My question to you is when you started being positive, stopped criticizing, doing all the housework and child rearing, saying yes to sex, did he change at all? Did you notice any behavior changes in him? | /r/RedPillWomen | 05/07/21 07:23 PM
I’m beginning to follow some of Laura Doyle’s principles and my girl friends are too liberal to talk to about it…they think I’m crazy.Sure | /r/RedPillWomen | 03/07/21 10:02 PM
Advice on biting your tongueI’m like you in that something in my brain jumps right to defense mode. Maybe it is a trust issue. Maybe I don’t trust that he will be fair and balanced and listen to my side of things. He’s done a great job of that lately, but he didn’t always. This is very insightful. Thanks! | /r/RedPillWives | 03/07/21 09:31 PM
I’m beginning to follow some of Laura Doyle’s principles and my girl friends are too liberal to talk to about it…they think I’m crazy.I completely understand the desire to discuss with girlfriends and have a supportive group! I don't have anyone irl that I can talk about this with either. I thought about simply asking my mom what she thinks about traditional gender roles just to see what she says. If it goes well, I might use that as my testing ground. It can be played off as a deep topic to discuss. If they rally against, I know to keep it zipped. Do you have anything specific you want to talk about? You can DM me if you want… | /r/RedPillWomen | 03/07/21 09:18 PM
Why do women put down other women for wanting a HVM/provider?I think it is a little more nuanced than you give it credit for. I think many women expect to provide for themselves, and the idea of relying on a partner to provide for them is terrifying. They want to make sure they can make it on their own because they have been taught they can't rely on others. Like all things, it is hard to paint a group with a broad brush isn't it? | /r/RedPillWomen | 03/07/21 09:13 PM
Why do women put down other women for wanting a HVM/provider?I have seen a good argument where once the husband is home both parents are on duty. Of course this depends on how the mother's schedule goes, but she often doesn't get a break all day just as her hubby doesn't. On the other hand, if she doesn't plan to go back to work, she has far fewer years of this exhausting work than her husband does. I think people should just butt out. | /r/RedPillWomen | 03/07/21 09:09 PM
Advice on biting your tongueThat’s great advice. I use it for interviews. I should apply it in everyday use! | /r/RedPillWives | 02/07/21 08:47 PM
Advice on biting your tongueI think I need to work on the stopping part. It is so hard! The first part makes total sense. I am not a woman of faith, but I think it still applies. The meaning and purpose of my life is not in my table cloth. Thank you! | /r/RedPillWives | 02/07/21 08:28 PM
The ScrapbookRed flags: - Not polite to your parents - Undermines your confidence, makes you second guess yourself, isn’t your biggest cheerleader in your healthy endeavors - Isn’t kind and gentle with your pets, it is ok if he is distant if allergic - Brings up the words submissive housewife. Don’t hate, there are ways to express traditional values and this ain’t it. - Continuously refers to himself as an alpha. Regales you with constant stories of how dominant and manly he is. - Pushes your boundaries: ver… | /r/RedPillWives | 30/06/21 08:54 PM
The ScrapbookOne of the ways I knew he was the one: Early on I asked a huge commitment question that would greatly impact the direction of our life. At that time we had no way of knowing how it would turn out. I asked if he was on board with it while giving him an easy exit as it was a huge ask, and he chose me without hesitation. He’s continued to chose me every day. My age now, I’d vet differently, but that was huge to me at 18. | /r/RedPillWives | 30/06/21 08:44 PM
Does anyone actually follow the financial plan in The Surrendered Wife?Do you find this inhibits his ambition like LD suggests? Also question for /u/steaknotcake. | /r/RedPillWives | 30/06/21 08:35 PM
Does anyone actually follow the financial plan in The Surrendered Wife?It can be a really hard thing, especially if you are used to handling it! Can you try handing over one element of the finances? Give him control of something and see if you can build from there. | /r/RedPillWives | 30/06/21 08:33 PM
Does anyone actually follow the financial plan in The Surrendered Wife?I've considered implementing it. My husband handles all of the finances, so I never really thought about doing it. He lets me spend what I want, I assume that means I stay within our means. If it is a large purchase, or if I know I have spent more than usual, I run it by him to make sure it is ok. I wonder how it would go if I had an official allowance and if it would change our dynamic. Update: he said if he gave me an allowance he’d feel like a tyrannical control freak. I suggested we not call… | /r/RedPillWives | 29/06/21 08:59 PM
Having a career/degree is important to men. Share your thoughts! This is one thing I don’t understand. A degree from a prestigious university is costly. Why take on more students loan debt to be a SAHM? I understand wanting an intelligent spouse, but this seems counterproductive to me. It seems to add a barrier to having the wife at home. | /r/RedPillWives | 25/06/21 05:17 PM
