I agree. I just get disappointed when he seems to omit the role that women play in the things he's identified. Recently, he talked about his astonishingly insightful theory of how male virtue could have been an evolutionary phenomenon because female sexual selection is directed towards the top of male hierarchies: that such a system would select for stable (re: more or less benevolent) male dominance and as a result, how to be "good" could have been an emerging phenomenon. I was blown away. He g…

I have immense respect and admiration for Peterson. I consider him to be a modern day prophet and we all would be better of by paying close to attention to everything he says. However, these kinds of things always remind me of how there's never "rules" for being a woman. How can his vision of a more virtuous world be accomplished when thought leaders like himself only ever address one side of the equation (the side that needs it less, I'd say)? Messages of sacrifice and duty -- no matter how ful…

Thanks. I know AWALT. It's hard to get yourself in a position where you could have plenty of better women without imagining what could be/ could have been. Part of that is the hand that comes with not having the sword damocles hanging over your head. Marriage is the red pill on hard mode. Lately I've just been struggling with the question "why bother with hard mode?"

Thanks for this. It seems like you've been in my exact situation. I really appreciate the advice.

Is this a troll? Her description sounds exactly like rape. She describes trying to get him to stop and that he pinned down her arms and legs and covered her mouth as a result. After collecting herself she went immediately to the emergency room and reported it to the police. There doesn't seem to be any ambiguity here...

Honestly, I was listening to her album because, for some reason, I find the music catchy. I don't normally even pay attention to lyrics but some of the lines popped out at me. As I payed attention I noticed that it was a clear and actually quite comprehensive example of a number of red pill principles. I found it interesting for that reason and decided to share. Secondly, I think it's a strong piece of evidence as rebuttal to detractors of the red pill who claim WALT. It's right there, out in th…

I used the term "open hypergamy" as it's typically used by Rollo at The Rational Male. See here for a good post about how he means it. He's fond of this particular quote by Sheryl Sandberg: When looking for a life partner, my advice to women is date all of them: the bad boys, the cool boys, the commitment-phobic boys, the crazy boys. But do not marry them. The things that make the bad boys sexy do not make them good husbands. When it comes time to settle down, find someone who wants an equal par…

The massive amounts of projection are particularly worrisome: "Psychological projection is a theory in psychology in which humans defend themselves against unpleasant impulses by denying their existence in themselves, while attributing them to others."

Response: snort "Yes ma'am!/Of course mistress, right away mistress" / any other sarcastic remark. Then chuckle to yourself.

Sure. I've always been a chubby, doughy guy. About 5 years ago I took the first steps to turning it around. I counted calories and did cardio, and eventually ate strictly low carb. Over about 7 months I went from 220 lbs to 160 lbs (I'm 6') and was pretty skinny fat. I then followed Starting Strength and bulked up to about 195 (way too much eating). I didn't have nearly as much success on my lifts as many people on the internet seem to report. I also stayed on Starting Strength and linear progre…

Well you better up your game then. Since my wife also know the "playbook" I found out that the best way to go about it is true action. Exactly! That's why I said it can be a good thing depending on your viewpoint.

I find he can write about controversial topics in ways that it's really hard to argue with. Makes me sit there and go, "huh" often.

A few months in, while going on my computer to print something she saw some venting messages I had sent to a friend as well as references to the red pill and terminology. She was also hurt by some of the things I wrote (which was very unfortunate because they were more about letting off steam than things I really felt or ever wanted to communicate to her). It was a pretty big event that I handled decently enough (holding frame as well as I knew back then). Certainly not what I was hoping for. On…

I've found the red pill to be a great aid at work, actually. I don't want to get into specifics because I'm in a relatively small field but I'll share what I can while being vague. I have a high level of education and I'm in a 2 year training position, of sorts, in a reasonably small department of a large institution. I've found the red pill has helped in these ways: I'm more assertive in my interactions now. Because of my training position I often have to intrude on people's work and disturb th…

Let's say OP did say he was leaving her. We can all imagine her immediate reaction: crying, pleading, and if he gave in she'd pull out all the stops and screw him all the time... at least until she'd feel secure in the relationship. That predicted behaviour indicates that she's only in it for the security and provisioning. She'd certainly miss him terribly if he left. But it wouldn't be his dick she'd be missing.

A lot of comments here about jumping through hoops for someone who's not really into you. You're not married. Just end it. Read this: http://therationalmale.com/2011/08/30/there-is-no-one/ She's having sex with you to keep you from breaking up from her? Whatever she wants from you in this relationship it certainly isn't sex. She's not scared of losing you. She's scared of losing her ATM ("I pay for everything"). The goal is not to get her to realize she needs to meet a high standard of performan…
