Thanks for the candid and thorough reply, much appreciated. I asked because it's good to get things like that out in the open where other people can see them and compare to their own situations - might save a lot of time and pain to somebody if they can see the signs in their own life and react early.

If you don't mind me asking, how did you hear about the prior gangbangs she had? In retrospect were there any warning signs or was she able to conceal her behavior reasonably well?

In some cases I think deception can be better for the herd than the nuclear option of demoting a LTR/Wife to a plate. I'm common-law, and in my case a demotion to plate would result in the hard separation of two large and intermingled social circles that also intersect with certain aspects of her work life. It would be unnecessarily cruel to plate her and detonate that social/work construct that has been built over the past 6 years - it wouldn't negatively affect just me OR just her, but lots of…

I agree with you - It was mentioned early in the post but seems to have been skimmed quite a bit because you're not the only one with that critique. I edited the post to try and make it more clear.

Both you and /u/RPenetrate are completely right and I agree with your critique. It wasn't intended to be a real, serious, case study - just an exploration in the TRP archetypes and how they apply within the context of reddit. I've edited the post to try and make that more clear.

A lot of people are going to say you're a shitty person, but not me. Look at my post history and you'll see I have a situation very much similar to yours. I unplugged late and missed out on a lot of life experiences, and I've since decided that it just wasn't going to happen that way. I've been meaning to post a follow-up about my decisions and why I made them, but the core of it is that you have basically one life to live, and I don't want my deathbed regret to be that I didn't experience life …

I'm pretty new to TRP but honestly "I only like guys with big dicks" seems like just another shit test to be blown up. I'm just under 8" and most women I've been with that claim to love big dicks don't have the slightest fucking clue or capacity to even really handle it. Every woman says she's a size queen until she gets her cervix pushed into her neck, then it's "OW OW OW you're too rough." ONS Anal is also pretty much out of the question unless she's a huge slut and gets her ass blown out regu…

This is honestly an area that I need to work on - we usually go out to eat and to the bar, but opportunities for casual flirting/dread are oftentimes limited by others so as to avoid being too overt. If you come up with or hear of any good ideas please feel free to send a PM. I've got to get some new shirts, I think next weekend I'll try bringing her shopping and ask for "help" and "second opinions" from one of the cuter sales assistants. I think rationally she knows that the girl will say whate…

I can't offer any advice, but I'd really like to hear the outcome of your situation as I am experiencing something very similar myself http://www.reddit.com/r/asktrp/comments/2s2vjg/married_before_unplugging_help_me_trp/ I've been reading through your replies and mild dread game seems to be a common consensus.

Both of you should get involved in some sort of physical extracurricular activity together. You're also in control of deciding what you both eat, shitty food has no place in your home. Eating clean takes care of a big chunk of weight loss and energy levels. Thanks, this is of course a good idea in addition to her already regular workouts, and I can certainly always improve on what I allow into the house. She really does work hard on her workouts and does them regularly, but her issue is definite…

Thanks, this is exactly the kind of experienced perspective I was looking for. ♂ The yoga class is a great suggestion - there's one at my work gym that is strictly employees-only, no relatives or spouses which I think might work out great in this situation.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
