Yes. Move on. If the pleasure of hooking up surpasses your intolerance of bullshit, then change the topic when she starts to lie.

People will sometimes change their mind when they see something prepared and it looks good. No big deal. When it's all the time? Nothing to understand beyond simple bratty behavior. Let her pout and enjoy your meal.

You're making a mountain out of a molehill, man - what was she supposed to do, change her dog's name when she and the ex split the sheets so some future dude wouldn't get all sore about it? Announce to every prospective date "I'm a Leo, my favorite color is red, and oh yeah my ex named my dog please don't let that be a deal breaker!"? It's a non issue.

You're playing it up like you're interesting, but you didn't actually say anything interesting... Everything was a joke, cocky but what are you actually cocky about? You're overselling a product but no one knows what the product is or does. There's some desperation there that I'm a little concerned this girl didn't get turned off by.

There was never any "ah ha" moment. A friend just referenced RP in conversation, I didn't know the term so I looked it up.

My SO is a criminal prosecutor. Her job is hugely stressful, and professionally she's got to be a bad ass 50 plus hours a week. When she's with me, she can pass off that stress and know that while I value her insight and opinions, I'll be the one pulling the trigger on final decisions. It's a load off her shoulders, and worth it for her to have that dynamic with me in her personal life. You need to find what trips that trigger in your girl, what makes you the choice worth working for.

Find a woman who actually likes to cook and bake. As you're meeting someone you talk about hobbies, interests, whatever - so ask, "do you like to cook?" If she's does, respond with, "that's awesome. It's one of the things I like when a girl does for me." When you're planning a date, tell her "instead of eating out let's stay in. You said you liked to cook, show me." If she gets the hint, awesome. If not, move on. It would be awesome if girls just magically appeared who knew what you wanted witho…

What about you makes you worthwhile to be the "Captain" in this scenario? Where's the benefit to her? Either you haven't demonstrated the above, or she's not the girl you're looking for. No one is going to concede control unless there's a trade off.

I dunno on this one - the women in my circle are always the first to send a thank you note, food, or goofy little gift. The guys are more along the lines of, "thanks man, I'll buy you a drink/lunch/whatever soon" and then maybe remember they've committed to it. Seems to be a person to person thing, unless of course the woman thinks you're being nice to get to her and she's just not interested. Then definitely expect the could shoulder.

Age doesn't make a difference, intelligence does. So much of pick up game is laughable to reasonably bright girls so know your audience.

If it doesn't bother you to do her favors, do them. If it does, don't. When she invites you to dinner then hands you a list, hand it back and say "I'll catch you next time when you're prepared for company." If she brings the bag you're sick of carrying, before you even step out the door say "if you can't carry that, don't bring it." Rinse and repeat, as they say. Be prepared to walk away if this is an issue for you.

The whole conversation could have been boiled down to ~ two texts vs the entire conversation you look like you had. "When you can speak to me in a respectful, adult fashion, I'll respond." Then follow through. Never complain, never explain.

I don't look at TRP this way at all, actually. Understanding what makes people tick and finding out that there are challenges in dealing with those truths does not make people/women worthless. It just means you have to be realistic in your dealings with yourself and the opposite gender. There are many women I can have an intellectual conversation with, many who I see try to better themselves each day, and many who have value both below and above thirty. For me, TRP was about bettering myself so …

Are you in danger? If no, then don't slap anyone. If yes, then will slapping really work to get you out of danger? If no, then don't slap anyone. If yes, is it at least mortal danger you're escaping? If no, then don't slap anyone. If yes, slap the woman and then spend every second you have following that encounter figuring out how you managed to put yourself in a situation where slapping a woman saved your life.

You're putting way too much time, thought and effort into this girl and this comment. If the Yale men don't want her, let them be offended and reject her.

My SO is surrounded by men at the workplace. With the exception of an admin assistant and an intern, she's the only female there. She has close working and social relationships with her coworkers, Hell, they're together over 50 hours a week. She talks about them in the context of work related stories, and I know she likes them and even loves them. Yet, she doesn't do what you're describing and if she did I'd be more than a little annoyed. It's an unattractive grab for attention and validation.

I know where her emotional energy goes. Just not into freaking out, which you seem to encourage as some kind of standard. I gave up on freaking out girls sometime around 9th grade...

My SO is a lawyer as well. She has a 50 plus hour workweek at times, and she's in criminal law so it doesn't get much more intense. No one is perfect, but she takes the time to make sure I'm taken care of. We had an off period when she changed birth control prescriptions and it screwed with her libido, but I didn't have an issue because she actively pursued going to the doctor and solving the situation. I don't get the impression your ex was interested in making an effort, period. That's even mo…

What would you do with it, mate? You're getting shut down here, do you really need a girl to own you to drive the point home?

What is so appealing about an LTR with that? Let's see... I can carry on a conversation with her and I'm interested the entire time. She fawns over me in bed and out. When she fucks up, she apologizes and doesn't do what she did again. She's generous, and when I hear she's been talking about me it's always, "dude, your gf was bragging you up..." She has faults, absolutely. But at the end of the day I enjoy my time. So, it's an appealing relationship.

Sure, anything is possible. I know that. And if it happens, I pick up and move on. That's just not the underlying current I'm feeling.

By her handling of it, I don't think she really feels it was inappropriate. On one hand, it might be time to lay out some boundaries there. On the other, do I want to even have that discussion?

It's my own sensitivity that's unsettling. I really don't think she'll cheat, I know she's in love with me, I'm just disappointed in myself that I had a reaction at all, really. I think that's what it boils down to.

I don't actually think anything is wrong, is the thing. I don't think she'll cheat. I'm sure she's still in love with me, so on so forth. As I think about it,mthe reason I'm bothered is because I bothered. I didn't think this was the kind of thing that would make me jealous or upset.

Dumping her on the spot seems like the polar opposite of maintaining frame...

I'm not sure if I'm describing this correctly, but what feels "off" isn't her. It's me. I'm not really bothered by the thought that she'll cheat. I don't think she will. I'm bothered by the fact that I'm bothered. Strange, right?

Is it also a bad sign that my GF threads together a more logical conversation progression? Time to give it up, man. Have a nice night.

If by "missed the point" you mean I disagree with what you're trying to save face by hammering home, then yes, I've missed the point. She's not suppressing her emotions to the point I "don't see them ever." I've never suggested that, directly or indirectly. You're creating an issue she and I simply don't, and never have had. I'm sure your advice belongs somewhere, but perhaps not this thread.

No passwords on phones, she dumps it in the same place by th bed she always has. I'm sure she eats lunch with her colleagues - typically they order in or go downstairs to the pub on the main floor. I really don't think she's having an affair or that something is off in that way - I just feel weird that I heard the word "love" used on someone that isn't me.

That's actually not the question. I appreciate you trying to prolong your opinion, but not everyone needs to "freak out" to be healthy.

Expressing emotions and freaking out are two different things to me. I'll stick with the lack of freaking out.

Is the guy a good looking stud of a lawyer or is he one of those really nice, non threatening guys ? (beta tendencies) Neither, really. I wouldn't call him redpill by any stretch, but he's a chill, collected and all around decent dude. He's not the boss, but that nose-to-the-grindstone sort that make people think he's in charge. I like the guy actually. Maybe this is what bothers me, maybe she should know better but I don't think she thinks there was anything wrong with it. Like I said before, s…

Uh, okay...? Not sure I agree with you there. The benefit of a freak out seems pretty minimal. I don't know if I'd encourage my girlfriend to act like a child.

Calm =/= emotionless. She's calm, not void of emotion, mate. She's a cheerful girl, laughs a lot, playful, physical. What I mean is she doesn't freak out over shit. The drama is at a minimum, you know?

I don't know if that's a compliment or a caution...lol She does though, she's definitely put together compared to my previous experience with women and dating. It definitely means I have to adjust my game on the fly, though.

Nah, she's not a whore. And you're right, I'm not worried she's going to "do" anything. It's just that I've never heard her say love to anyone other than me or her immediate family so I'm thrown.

Yeah man, hollow is right. You're right about why it bothers me too, spot on. I think what I meant about not knowing is that her saying it doesn't mean I think she's going to cheat or anything bad is actually going to happen, it's just, like a pang. Jealousy just because? Seems stupid.

The push for commitment is possible... This is a bit passive for her though, she's upfront if she wants/needs something. Subconsciously trying to get my attention maybe?

She doesn't say "I love you" to any of her other friends, female or male. She's a very sincere girl with her words, very precise in choosing them (lawyer thing, probably) so I feel like this wasn't just a throwaway comment. Her body language is tricky. She's not a touchy freely girl necessarily, but when she's interacting with someone it's like they're the center of her universe for at least a few minutes (this is actually one of the things I like about her). She's an intense listener, maintains…

Not a thing - I've never questioned her actions at all. I think I'm thrown though because I've never heard her say that to another friend/colleague, male or female.
