Luckily my friend is a great dad and his family and our friend group are very involved with the kids. If he can get full custody permanently the kids will be okay. I don't like to think about the alternative.

Yeah unfortunately we are dealing with MA judges so for him to even get 50/50 custody took 2 years. And they still require him to pay child support. Heroin doesnt pay for itself after all.

She has made at least a dozen false DV and/or child molestation accusations against him and it seems like whenever the police get involved she gets him arrested. All charges dropped or dismissed, but I think he legitimately has PTSD from having his life nearly destroyed multiple times. I'm hoping this will be the final straw and the judge will just grant him full custody.

Yeah our work environments are very different. Nothing really evolves or changes in my industry so there is no catch up time needed he can just dive right back in. And we are all given 4 weeks PTO and encouraged to use it all. No one is allowed extra even if their kid is sick. So I take 3 vacations and 5 days of sick time, and a coworker with kids probably takes half vacation and half sick time. No one is penalized for using all their PTO. I used all of mine already this year and I still got a 1…

In my case my coworker performs at a high level when he isn't on paternity leave so he should get a raise for that. Would be odd to only base raises on 8 weeks out of the year. In my industry at least.

I met one of my best friends on okcupid when I missed his no fat chicks stipulation. Actually most of the men I have encountered on this sub seem to be pro choice. You and a few others are the outliers. And I thought I made it clear that my options were have the abortion or be assaulted by the guy until my fetus died anyways. Well I dont believe in child support either. Anyone should be able to opt out of having a child. Basically if you've been married to a woman for a period of time a judge can order you to pay her monthly after a divorce. I can see alimony being fair if one spouse gave up a career to raise the children (like 20 years of their life) but most of the time thats not the case.
