Well what I actually said was not that the harm is being done to yet to be born children, but that it was being done to other, currently alive people. The thought process is that an individual's actions affect the other people around them and that reproduction is a necessary part of humanity, but that yes it's a complex topic. Anyways, not sure why I comment here, you don't seem like an open-minded or rational person that is open to exploring ideas. Are you real or are you a bot? I'm always dumb…

Fair enough and thank you for answering so directly and honestly 😄 I totally understand that those are your morals, that for you individual rights eclipse all others. However there are many people who have different morals and believe that taking any action that would lead to the harm or deaths of others outweighs the wellbeing of themselves or other individuals. And those are perfectly legitimate morals too. This is why I believe that the best way out of these endless arguments is that we need …

Hey OP! Great post actually, I love hypotheticals, although one must be careful not to apply them too rigorously to real life. I think your hypothetical is really speaking to the moral quandary of balancing individual rights with the wellbeing of the community. In your hypothetical, I would absolutely agree with you that those three women should never be forced or shamed to partake in anything they don't want to do, but mainly because of the stipulation that there are only those 20 people on Ear…

Hey! Apologies for not commenting back, I’ve been so busy this week, on holiday in Portugal with my sister and friends! I just wanted to say that your hobbies sound really cool and you seem like a very interesting and intellectual person :) I have always been more into the Sciences than Art, however it’s a side of myself I’ve always wanted to develop further. I actually have a ton of friends that are into filmmaking, theatre and acting. I hear you totally about finding social activities that are…

Hey! :) I knew when I wrote that statement it was kind of stupid and felt bad, so I wanted to give you a reply :) Can I ask what kind of hobbies you take part in? I feel like there are so many facets of this, but what I see in my friend group here in the UK (late 20’s to early 30’s) is that when people aren’t working, they will most likely be drinking in the pub/bars/clubs with their friends, going out for dinner or having dinner parties. Or potentially going for workout classes (which definitel…

A lot of people have been talking about meeting girls on nights out. I think it is actually fairly easy to MEET girls on out nights out, but the challenge is that are they actually single? And even if they are, unless you are quite good looking, charming and very flirtatious and push for going home with them, then it’s difficult to actually make any kind of long term relationship or even short term relationship happen. People on nights out are generally drunk… obviously 😂 So as a guy, you can me…

Hey man! I love this post because honestly I like hearing more about people’s personal experiences than endless, pointless gender wars debates. I live in Europe, I’m 31 and I would describe myself as extremely extroverted and social, and have always been excellent at making female friends. I guess I can only speak from my experience but yes when I was in my 20’s (so 2015-2025) most of the relationships between girls and guys in my friends group actually met in school or university, and then we a…
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/26 06:07 PM

Haha thanks for the honesty and fair enough :) We all need an outlet at times, I understand that. I feel like you might be quite similar to my sister in that way actually :D It certainly used to frustrate me how much she seemed to crave and create drama to entertain herself, but I cannot deny that she is also the most awesome, fun and hilarious person I've ever met and I love her for it! Hope your IRL relationships are thriving and that you're doing well! :)
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/26 11:29 PM

It is indeed a train wreck, can't argue with that :D I don't actually talk to people on Reddit much, I'm more of a browser haha, but isn't it amazing that you can talk to total strangers on here from all over the world? That's a crazy thought! I'm in a university building at the moment, looking out on a beautiful garden with trees and a small pond, with some awesome food and iced coffee. And I'm going on holiday in two weeks with my sister and friends! I hope you are having a lovely Saturday too…

Haha it can be...but it also makes me very sad to see the arguing and fighting. And it so different from my real world experience :) I of course know nothing about you and you don't know anything about me, but I can genuinely say that the overwhelming majority of both men and women I've met in my life have been wonderful, kind people and I have so many amazing male and female friends in my life. In any case, I get that it can be entertaining in a dark kind of way to see such pointless arguments …

I never usually comment here but I completely agree. It’s frankly hilarious to me that you have people here who have been married for decades giving opinions on dating strategy and the dating market generally. And why are they bothering to spend their time on this subreddit, if they are in such happy marriages? And then you have 40 year old women and 20 year old men arguing about dating and being in relationships in here. And I’m trying to be fair and general here, but normal people are not spen…

I mean, what is there to discuss here? You are just using your personal experience and trying to generalise it to all women. You're doing the same thing that you claim RedPillers do. Why do you waste your time here? Get off Reddit and go live your life.

I think I have an extremely peculiar problem. I’m 31 and never been in a relationship or had sex, but I’m highly extroverted, have always had tonnes of close male and female friends and spent my 20’s in bars and clubs constantly. I have excellent social skills and I’m highly educated, with a great career. And physically I’m tall, not overweight and I have a sister that everyone says looks exactly like me and she gets both guys and girls interested in her 24/7. So I like to think I can’t be that …

Which spaces were you in that you think a guy who is a virgin at 26 couldn't possibly be in?

Thanks man, appreciate it :) It can be hard sometimes, especially as you get older. So many of my friends are married now and if it weren’t for the fact that I am so good at making friends, I think I’d be much worse mentally. And my sister is super social and confident (and we’re close in age) so she really helps me to stay social. I hope you get there someday man :) And nope I’ve never been overweight really, I’m 6ft tall and I was actually more of that skinny guy growing up. But I go to the gy…

This is exactly me, except I’m just about to turn 31. I’m quite extroverted, especially on nights out and I’ve always had a huge social group. Regularly went partying, to clubs and bars throughout my 20’s and still go out most weekends. I am exceptionally good at making friends, especially female friends and I have like three female best friends at the moment and maybe another like 20 that I see semi-regularly. Despite that, I’ve never had a girlfriend and I’m still a virgin. I just literally ha…

There are billions of women on the planet. The relevant question is not whether a woman exists whose first choice in a partner would be a male virgin (particularly at an older age), but rather what percentage of women this would be globally, or at least in the Western world where most people on this sub seem to be from. Additionally, it would be interesting to understand if particular characteristics of a person make them more likely to want a virgin. That’s really all there is we can say for su…

Absolutely and it’s always lovely to see a person with empathy and who genuinely wants to understand the world from an open minded and nuanced perspective. I don’t comment on here much (or at least I try not to) because I am blessed to have so many wonderful female friends (and male friends too of course) that genuinely care for the men in their lives, their brothers, fathers and friends. I find it incredibly disheartening to see how social media often seems to pit men and women against each oth…
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/25 12:53 AM

This is a brilliant and well thought out post OP, thanks for sharing your views :) Look I think you can absolutely argue as you have that men are held more strongly to their traditional masculine roles than women are today, particularly in the west. I would agree with this stance. But even if you disagree and think that men and women are held equally to their social roles by society or that women still have it worse than men in this regard, we should all agree that the mission should be for men …

Awesome! I've heard being a female ENTP has some unique challenges (honestly being an ENTP in general has enough haha), I hope you're doing well! :)

I’m an ENTP with an exceptionally strong Fe, mostly due to my chaotic upbringing. I am excellent at making friends with girls as I am very outgoing, socially confident and empathetic. I seem to attract girls to me so easily, but only platonically. For some reason, I’ve never been able to attract them romantically, so I’m in a very weird place where most of the people I am close friends with are the super extroverted, super confident party types who fall in and out of relationships as easily as b…

Yeah absolutely haha. I should also mention that tbh I pretty much know why I have trouble with dating. Despite being really confident with people generally, including women, I have Body Dysmorphia. So I'm extremely insecure about the way I look, but I can kind of ignore it in most social interactions as I'm very good at focusing on the other person to the exclusion of my own thoughts. Conversing with other people kind of pulls me out of my own mind and anxieties in most cases. However, I am dea…

This is a very interesting question and I’m honestly thinking of making my own post about it at some point. I’m 30 now and throughout my teenage years and 20’s I have always been exceptionally social and have countless male and female friends. From about the ages of 16 until 24 (finishing university) I would go clubbing and to bars at least 3-4 times a week, stretching to 6 times a week during the summers and holidays. I’ve been to hundreds of house parties, partied at VIP tables in clubs, gone …

Absolutely. If a guy comes across as extremely confident, it's important not to get dazzled by it and genuinely ask yourself; is he confident because he knows himself very well and truly understands his strengths and weaknesses, and has made peace with them? Or is he confident because he lacks self awareness, drastically overestimates himself and doesn't understand his weaknesses as a person? If its the latter, that signals massive problems for any relationship.

Absolutely, although of course individual behaviour can vary, on a societal scale I am indeed one of these people believes that there are patterns to how men and women date, that cut across cultures and class backgrounds. I am still myself trying to understand how I can make myself more attractive, both physically and mentally. It can be a long journey. I hope you are doing well :)

Thanks for that, I do try my best to be interesting :D I'm half Scottish and half Indian, born in the UK, but went to an International School in a Central European country. I have my difficulties in life, but I recognise that I am very privileged to have lived in so many different countries growing up and I have friends all over the world. Most of my friends also went to various International Schools and so they all come from extremely well off families. My sister's best friend growing up, her f…

I think I didn't make my point very well yesterday and so I wanted to clarify. I think that if you come out into the world with preconceived ideas about groups of people, such as that men are bad or women are bad, or people are bad etc, you will always find evidence for that, no matter what 'bad' means to you. Flaws are inherently subjective, what is a flaw in a person from anothers point of view, can easily be a positive attribute from the point of view of someone else. So take OP's post here. …

I basically agree with this. As a 30 year old guy who is also living in Europe and has always been extremely social, most of my closest friends are women and I also have one sister that is only a few years younger than me. I value them all deeply and my life has been enormously better for having them in it. But you know what happens when you befriend women and get to know them as people? You realise they can be just as shallow and mean-spirited as men. They are not always like that and can be wo…

I never usually comment on this sub as it's frankly a cesspool, but this is a great post OP and I applaud the respectful way in which you've engaged in this discussion, by acknowledging the very fair concerns that each person has. A simple rule to live by is to treat everyone as an individual, regardless of their sex or gender. Absolutely judge the behaviour of each individual you come across and react accordingly. But the second you label them as part of a group and then proceed to make unfair …

I always enjoy your responses :) Honestly, it was the same for me. Almost 30 now and still haven’t had sex or a girlfriend. But I am extremely outgoing, spent my teenage years and 20’s partying with lots of people. I was surrounded by stunning girls and really cool guys, many of whom I’m still friends with. But I too was extremely anxious and self-conscious, with severe body dysmorphia. So despite being around all the people, clubs, alcohol and craziness, I was just always that friend that was t…

I’ve graduated now but I did Aerospace Engineering and I spent pretty much every waking minute studying or working on projects. My final year I was pulling all nighters every week and out of about 150 people in my course there were less than 5 girls. I don’t think I spoke to a single girl outside of the rare group project the entire time I was at university and definitely never had the time after around the first year or so. Kind of regret not studying something else tbh lol

I have a slightly younger sister (I'm 28, she 's 25) and grew up in an all-female household (parents divorced, so my dad lived in another country) and many of my close friends growing up were girls. Honestly, I don't think any of my friend group ever think of things in binary Male:Female terms. We see and respect each other as individuals, a lot of us are childhood friends. We all had a very privileged upbringing however, so we socialised and acted like grown adults from a very young age. But st…
