That's great! I'm glad to hear you support women's rights. I support men's rights including a man's right to opt-out of financial responsibilities for a baby he never wanted - which should become a non-issue once male birth control hits the market. I'm glad we can all get along and that you currently do see that feminism is relevant (at least until birth control and pro-choice legislation is nationwide). Good enough for me.

But...I get your point. Feminism has lost it's initial cause. But as a woman, I feel that feminists are the only group that will always fight for my rights so I'm not going to call myself something different or bad mouth the good feminism has done in the past because of who they are now. I'm just going to stand up for both groups.

1) Specialized human rights groups were, are, and will always be needed. What the fuck is this? I'm a huge fan of MRM but I'm also a feminist because both rights groups are needed. The feminist movement was necessary and still is. Just because some women are assholes doesn't make the word feminist or the movement wrong. Everything has it's time and place. Women need support groups and so do men. It's how we protect each other from being fucked over by society/governments/companies.

I am a feminist and I think FieldsofAsphodel's view of sexism/racism is wrong. The discrimination of anyone based on sex, race, age, etc. (regardless of if they are in the power group) is wrong.
