Yeah, boundaries is always difficult for me. Because I have a hard time reading into it, I always assume "no" means no, even though I know this is not always the case. I'll try looking out for it. But until I can spot it, I'll stick with better safe than sorry. Thanks for the input!

Great reply again. I'll work on this! Thanks!

Do you do anything differently because Dutch people don't talk to strangers as easily? Or do you just try harder?

Yeah, autism isn't always the worst. I'm great with structure and this makes a lot of things really easy to understand for me. Unfortunately years of being bullied as a kid has given me some social anxieties. I know them and I don't let them ruin my social life, but it makes things more difficult.

So anything you do differently from the advise on this sub simply because of this?

I have no interest in gaming at all. The reason why I'm on seddit is because it has a structural way of explaining social interaction. That's something that not many subs do (/r/socialskills does absolutely nothing for me). I want to become better and therefore I learn.

Both very good advise! Setting the rules is something I really want to do but is really scary because it usually means that I have to explain my autism to people and there is nothing better to break the sexual tension than talking about depression and stuff. I should really do it, though. Thanks!

does she pull away when I touch her? I've found that almost nobody I'm friendly with pulls away when I touch them casually (shoulder touch). However, for more intimate touching (back, hands, etc.) I need some signs beforehand to see it it's okay. Any ways to test this? I usually try tickling (if she tickles back it's positive) or other kids-play. It does show something, but of course if she is really ticklish she will of course pull away. Change the subject when the topic is sexual? Me being an …

she tries to fill every silence so not to let the conversation die. They will talk louder and more animated. The problem with this is that while I understand this rule, it is extremely hard for me to see if any of the above is the case. Firstly I don't recognize what is normal for people in general. Secondly I don't know what is normal for her. Not knowing that makes it difficult to focus on differences in behavior. I will try focusing on it, though. I have used the Brad Pitt rule a few month ag…

Nowadays I cover it because I have a tendency to whine about my problems. People not knowing them makes it more easy to not whine. I have people around me that know so that I can fall back on them, but telling people about my autism is not optimal yet. I do however tell people that I'm an introvert and about some personality differences I have. So most people know that I'm different from the rest. I'm sorry, could you be more direct, I have Aspergers, in fact: I'm really proud of myself for not …

Some people are really successful not following the social rules. Others land in jail or worse, the friendzone. That's what I'm afraid of. Also, when I was younger I didn't care and I had zero friends. Now that I do care I have some friends and I can talk to people. But good for your friend for succeeding!

Thanks for the long reply. Some helpful stuff in here! I'm actually not into trains at all, but it was more to illustrate a point, haha. I'm studying psychology to some day study sexology. Those are my "trains". Luckily people love to talk about psychology and I can create a lot of good conversations with sexology. The problem with autism is that I have no idea when to stop. So I can literally talk for hours at a time if I want to. I know not to talk for too long, but specifying what it TOO long…

Keep in mind that manipulation is purely changing something into another thing that you want. This can be both positive and negative. So every social interaction is manipulation. Seduction even more so because it's more focused towards a specific goal. That's not bad, it's just strategic.

I feel like I have to clarify myself a bit here. I'm not looking for pickup. I have all the time in the world to find a girl. I too dislike a lot of the things that get posted on this sub. The reason why this sub has really helped me is because of the theoretical approach. There are multiple theories on this sub about a certain "path" you should follow to have the best chance to succeed with a girl. Wrong or right, these paths give me a lot of insight in certain aspects of social behavior. "sedu…

The generic social advise is just as good as the autism advise, believe me. Strangers are always difficult. if you're having a blast chatting to a cute girl about trains and she's not at least somewhat enthused to hear about it, then she's probably not for you. Her not being into me is no problem. I don't mind being rejected. The problem is that I've never been rejected. Girls just stop me any attention. So a girl stops texting or doesn't text that often anymore. I have no clue when this is me b…

Well, I know the signs. I know body language etc. The problem lies more in understanding the bigger picture. I've found that when I'm with a girl I can just as easily interpret her body language as positive as negative. Yes she smiles, but her arms are locked, but it's cold, and her feet face towards me. Most women react somewhat positive to playful touching, but almost never does one actively partake in it, which is hard to interpret.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
