How old are you? Asking because it's relevant to know the age range of the people you want to interact with... Also, why do you want to stay broad/general? Isn't the point of being approached quality and not quantity?

This might be controversial... I can tell you've built up resentment over the past X years that he has been depressed. He didn't force you to stay with him, that was your choice. He doesn't owe you anything for that. And you don't owe him anything either. Even though you say you do things because you want to do them for him, really deep down these deeds are transactional. "so i guess you didnt change the trash today?" Just say, sorry no I didn't. And then share why you did not. Don't harbour res…

Since you have a daily journal already (I assume just with writings of day to day happenings) then I would dedicate a journal to self-improvement. Identify one or two key aspects that you want to change about yourself and pour your focus into that. Reflection is a big key to improvement. The better you can identify the gap between where you currently are and where you want to be is the first step to addressing how to change.

5 years, and yes occasionally. Thoughts: - how different my life would be if I married/continued to be with him - if he has matured at all since we parted ways

She doesn't feel like kissing up to you anymore. She doesn't think it's enough for you to dump her. Defending her behaviour out loud to you gives her mental validation and she knows you'll come around eventually and 'forgive' her.

So my husband and I have always been red pill There is literally nothing in your story that makes me think "this man is a red pill man"

The idea of sex/sex acts as proof of her attraction in a LTR is a weird concept. Short term: yeah it's obvious if she wants to fuck then duh she is attracted to you Long term: probably best indicator is when she IS down to fuck that she WANTS to fuck you and is not trying to fuck some other guy or mentally fucking some other guy. If she's not horny period and nothing could make her horny, then she probably is just not horny. If she still has sex with you even though she really can't get in the m…

I agree with this comment: when women are jealous they will give bad advice and seem like they're sabotaging you (not always on purpose, it just happens subconsciously) Your friend has been dating the same guy since 17 years old. She is projecting her feelings onto you. She wants to have freedom but doesn't want to break up with her guy for whatever reason. If you are happy with your relationship, don't let others shit all over it. In the case of your friend, if you get any feelings that she is …

The most high value way to deal with this is NOT to ask. If he wants something he WILL let you know. Ask yourself: do I really want to be with this guy who will ditch me if something better comes along? What kind of man is he? Better question: what kind of person are you? Clearly he doesn't see you as his best option. And neither do you if you're sticking around waiting for him to exhaust his other options. If you want to stay friends then fine, but don't get close and definitely don't entertain…

to some extent he IS busy because he went from being unemployed to being an engineer. I don't necessarily think he's dodging you per se. Can confirm. Have many engineer friends and this happens. Starting as a Jr Engineer you have to quickly establish yourself at work which requires focus and can be energy draining. OP needs to respect this. Men need their mission. He may or may not have been seeing multiple girls the same time as you, that's not really the point though. Don't know a lot of detai…

Do activities together where talking is not the main activity but can be facilitated. Lots of outdoorsy activities are like this: hiking, fishing, canoeing, skating, fruit-picking, etc. If he is a sporty type, golf or mini-golf. Shooting hoops. Etc. If he isn't into any of those, just going for a long drive. Sometimes people open up in the car because of the isolated environment and no pressure to look directly at each other.

Some parts of this story are too vague. She has no problem attracting men, just filtering out the bad ones quickly. Do you know the quality of men she is attracting? Attracting a lot of men is different from attracting quality men. Could just be a lot of beta orbiters or fake-alphas. Where is she meeting these men and how are these dates being arranged? I don't think it's a "her" problem at this stage, it's a vetting problem with the guys she's dating and it's taking too long for her to determin…

Does she have a yeast infection? If she is experiencing itchy vag and/or weird discharge then she's probably googling for herself. Check medicine cabinets for yeast infection meds? You could catch the yeast infection too, although it's not an STI because they can happen out of nowhere. But if she's googling Plan B AND having a yeast infection it's probably not unrelated...

It's never really about the chores themselves. It's about reconciling expectations with reality. Where there is a gap, there will be unhappiness. When expectations and reality align, it's all good.

He really wanted me to play with everyone for some reason. Your perspective: he is trying to coerce me into doing something I don't want to do. I might embarrass myself. In this moment I value my pride more than anything. His perspective: I want to give her an opportunity to socially bond with my friends. She is flat out publically rejecting me when I am just trying to help her. I can't confront her without coming off like an asshole. How would you guys address this? I'm never going to be a game…

I think it's right of you to be hesitant. It's easy to fall into the trap of associating your sense of self-worth with the quality of the man you are with. You need to know that you have worth because of your own merit. Secondly, I don't see any reason to stop dating him. It's only been a few weeks (months?) which is not enough time to see someone for who they truly are. Continue dating him and just enjoy the journey. Stop your mind right now from building up this hypothetical future life that y…

almost no man is 100% alpha traits or 100% beta traits Agreeing that this is true. Majority of red pill seems to be former-betas, so it's obvious that any beta could be alpha with effort. So why is it that (some? most?) women are more willing to look outside for a more-alpha male for sex, than trying to bring out the alpha qualities of their current partner?

Looking at your post history it seems like the past 7 years has been significant in your life. The ladies here are focused on self-improvement and building confidence. There's a lot to be learned here. I would start looking inwardly. How long have you been with this man? How do you know he will stick by you no matter what?

I agree so much with this! I had/have a very similar situation as OP. My now-husband (then-boyfriend) was being crushed by pressure at his company to the point where no matter how attracted he was to me, the stress affected his sex drive. He was stressed to the point that all conversations were about how he hated his job. For me, watching him suffer tore me apart inside and made me sadder than anything I was personally going through (moved away from family/friends etc). I'm not sure your man's e…

There is a big difference between: A. not giving a fuck because you are confident and you are 100% sure that people appreciate you for who you are -and- B. not giving a fuck because you're being a child and playing games to get what you want What you're doing is putting you on the path of applying dread. I'm not sure how long you've been dating this guy, but TRP tactics don't work long term. LTRs are based on communication and respect. Men don't pick up on hints and nudges and it's just better o…

Until I stumbled upon a guy I'm really attracted to. He has a yacht, he throws parties every night "I'm really attracted to him". First two things you mention: has yacht (money), throws parties (social circle) he made it very clear he does not want commitment right now Reason doesn't matter. He does not want to commit to you full stop. I (feel like) I have to respect it Yes. Its the sense of community at the marina and the camaraderie between all of the guys and their boats. When we get to the m…

another woman (that I think he would like more) fights for his attention If another woman shows up and gives off aggressive/dominant behaviour and is throwing herself at him, guys will generally be turned off by this. Best course of action is to just be gracious. Imagine the woman is your friend and not your competition. Your thoughts will manifest themselves in your words if you have it in your mind that she is a threat. Be friendly to her and try to stay in the conversation. If you can't get a…

Ah, I work in a similar field. Where dressing womanly is generally not a thing. It's really easy to fall into the habit of "no one cares what I look like so I also won't care". Be careful of falling into this mindset. I'm tired when I come home too but I figure I can find effort to work all day, then surely I can squeeze out a few ounces of effort for my husband whom I love dearly and crave his attention so much. "Dressing pretty" doesn't have to be limited to lingerie. You can start with just s…

Cat-calling is extremely beta behavior and if you can, just keep walking and ignoring. Good on you for moving away. I think you need to think deeply about why the staring is uncomfortable for you to notice. Not used to it--ok, fair. Change takes time to get used to. Inner anxiety--that's a tougher one. I'd say it would help to understand and accept the nature of men, which you're probably getting there if you're here. If you're here, your goal is likely about attracting/finding a quality guy. Wh…

If possible, make the decision for the other person ahead of time. Don't feel the need to give unsolicited explanation or justification why you need something by a certain time. "I need X from you by X time/date" is all that is needed. People will fill in the empty spaces with their own rationale. Decide ahead of time your course of action when met with non-compliance. Don't let other people's actions or in-actions screw with you. Once you realize you can only control your own actions you'll be …

Being approachable is/was an issue for me too (bitchy resting face). A good place to start is if you see certain people on a regular basis (example: classmates) then start saying "good morning" or just "hey how's it going" as you walk past to your seat. Make eye contact and be genuine in your greeting. No pressure to continue a conversation as you're just passing by. This builds connection, shows you're friendly and you'd welcome being approached at a later, more convenient time.

Imagine going to a restaurant and the cook says "yeah I'm exhausted today so this is the best you're getting, sorry. At least it's edible?" Or you go into work and tell your boss "yeah I'm not going to give effort today" Or your kids ask you to read or play or whatever, do you just say "I love you but I'm not feeling it today kid, go away" Yeah okay this is different because emotional/financial/time investment if it's a LTR and you want to secure it but I don't think mediocrity is the way to go …

This. Pivotal period is key. Lots of tension in the beginning but at some point the relationship will solidify into one thing or another. If a guy tries to make an move and I reject, I would drop that "friend". Personal policy is not to try to form a deep friendship bond with anyone I'd want to fuck or date. Always try to interact with people in the context of what I want to happen in the end. This means keeping those guys on the "outer friend circle"/acquaintance/friend-of-a-friend level. I wou…

Agree. If you're having sex for "maintenance" bullshit then you're doing it wrong. Everyone wants to be fucked with enthusiasm. The typical porno just shows a man being extremely desired by the woman. Maybe this raises mens expectation of how a woman should act in bed.

Don't know if Tom is looking to be a couple or waiting for Sue to catch feels. Just wants to fuck, but putting in a lot of time/effort. His own choice though and feeling butthurt is his own issue. Not like anyone's forcing him to spend his time.
