this sub seems dead what happened?Yeah this sub has a crazy boner for powerlifting. They think increasing your one rep max unlocks the door to 🐱 There’s no hope for me since I bench 3 sets of 8 and don’t set new PR’s anymore. | /r/MarriedRedPill | 10/01/26 11:09 PM
this sub seems dead what happened?I still lift and have been since I was 19. I specified "lift heavy". I can't lift the way I did in my 20s and 30s. I've got an eye condition for which you have to avoid heavy lifts and also movements that put your head below your heart (decline bench for ex). But I still lift regularly and do more cardio and HIIT type stuff nowadays. But even with that I can't go every day anymore. Pushed too hard when I was younger and paying for it now maybe. If I'd waited until 48 like you to start lifting it… | /r/MarriedRedPill | 09/01/26 06:28 PM
this sub seems dead what happened?I still lift and have been for 30+ years. I specified "lift heavy". I can't lift the way I did in my 20s and 30s. | /r/MarriedRedPill | 09/01/26 06:25 PM
this sub seems dead what happened? It's too heavily modded. New content gets taken down with "read the sidebar". IMO duplicate content is better than no new content. Lot of the comments go way too deep into weightlifting. Guys will be going into detail about exact reps and weight they do for every exercise. There are better subs for that. How is knowing how many reps and weight a random guy does for his bicep curls going to help a married guy get laid more? I'm too old (early 50s) to lift heavy anyway, so it's even more useless. … | /r/MarriedRedPill | 08/01/26 06:07 PM
How To Get Jacked - A Beginner To Advanced GuideSuggestions for people who shouldn't lift heavy? I'm dealing with glaucoma. The only thing doctors have in their toolbox to control the disease are things that reduce eye pressure. And people with the disease need to avoid doing things that increase eye pressure, and one of those things unfortunately is heavy lifting. Doing 1-3 rep bench presses isn't something I should be doing. I'd like to be jacked but not at the expense of going blind. Any recommendations for programs that produce a great ph… | /r/MarriedRedPill | 12/01/24 01:52 AM
The SILENCE Here is DEAFENINGWomen prefer a man who's in shape but most of them don't care if he squats 650 or 250, just that he's proportioned well. I'm almost 50 and the power lifting stuff on here doesn't work for me. Whenver I try to lift really heavy I injure myself, just a reality of aging. | /r/MarriedRedPill | 31/05/23 04:36 PM
The SILENCE Here is DEAFENINGYeah it seems like the material is more geared to a younger married man. Like if you're 22 and married (why??) and your wife isn't putting out, it's a really big deal. But if you're 50 and it's once every other week, for a lot of guys it's not as big a deal anymore. There are other aspects of a relationship that take on increased importance as we get older. | /r/MarriedRedPill | 30/05/23 11:35 PM
The SILENCE Here is DEAFENINGMore content would be good, but it seems that for this sub MRP is being an "autistic mute who lifts", and anything more than that is doing too much. The OYS threads are sometimes weird when they include a lot of specific weightlifting numbers, i.e. "I bench 195, deadlift 480, curl 120." Seems like this is as much a heavy lifting sub as it is an RP sub. Sometimes I think of something I want to post but then hold off as I realize the responses will just be "lift more" or "read everything on the re… | /r/MarriedRedPill | 30/05/23 11:30 PM
Field report a few years after I filed for divorceWhat about a woman (wife) who buys groceries, brings them to the house, makes you dinner, but skips over the drain balls part too often? | /r/MarriedRedPill | 19/08/22 06:06 PM
