The court documents very clearly state that he is not indigent. He's just a deadbeat.

I cannot fathom how any of this would make you decide that you shouldn't pay your $255/m in child support. That's why you were held in contempt. Because you personally disagreed with the court order and chose to not follow it. Again and again.

Am looking for this study. I cannot find it either a mention of it or the study itself.

I really can't imagine that 400% figure having any basis whatsoever. Please cite it if this is not the case.

Do you have sources to that, so that next time I'm not just spouting opinion?

I think most "false rape convictions" can be traced to larger due process issues. As I understand it, the majority of rape convictions (legitimate or otherwise) are due to self-incrimination. I don't have a source at hand, but please refute this if it isn't the case. And this problem of self-incrimination at the hands of police is widespread across different criminal charges and not particularly defined nor limited to rape. Certainly, the 'beyond a reasonable doubt' standard is a very good thing…

Fixed to erase misleading/poor advice: Need more info. Particularly: What state did this happen in? Were state lines crossed? I'd also talk to a lawyer and consider getting a restraining order against mom. After all, she's already done what amounts to a home invasion. Maybe even get a small handgun for protection and seek training and a CWP.

Eating popcorn and waiting for the bad advice to come flowing! Edit: He should get a lawyer now. Expect to spend a few thousand. Obviously much more if charges are actually brought. Jail really sucks though, and the facts as stated are pretty damning.

I don't see how the equality that men want would make them less happy.

Sorry MR, I lack the willpower to click this link.

I can't believe that injustices like this are, quite frankly, CELEBRATED in our society.

It's absurd that this has to be on the fringe.

Right there with you. I absolutely don't think that Mens Rights must come at a cost to female rights. And vice versa. Unfortunately, I think each movement feels like it rivals the other one. In the end, both are weaker as a result.

Sorry, but you're completely missing the point. A Men's Rights would be how society judges him and his role in his household -- or issues deriving from such a societal view. This is a poor example of Men's Rights for two main reasons. The first, is that he was in fact a provider for his family, and thus, embracing a traditionally male role. The divorce was because his wife felt he was doing a poor job of filling this role. Secondly, that his wife divorced him over money was an issue dealing with…

I believe I should have been more specific in my critique. This is not a Men's Rights issue because abcd, rather than simply stating my conclusion.

Respectfully disagree. We've got lots of content -- with the majority of it not being relevant. That makes screening all the more important.

If I see anything. In the meantime, it is our duty to the movement to critique current content.

The types of articles that should be here, are those that identify issues or places where there's a cogent difference between the treatment of men and of women. In my opinion, the most pertinent Men's Rights issue is that of forced masculinity. Men are expected by society to embrace this role of breadwinner/knight, and looked down upon if they do not, for no other reason than their gender. I come on here and see inane articles, feminism bashing, and, to be honest, stuff that is just completely n…

And again, I agree... but at this point, I think we've excluded the possibility that this is a Men's Rights issue.

I agree with each thing you wrote. Yet I still don't see how this is a Men's Rights issue unless those are things that are mandated for women. (In which case, yes, I agree, it would be)

The notion that there aren't racist women is absurd. Not a Men's Rights issue though.

This is a tragedy. What it has to do with Men's Rights? Like most of the posts here... nothing.
