Feminism to me and those others with whom I have interacted, and how we practice it and engage with the world is rooted firmly in the tenets of equality. The feminist ideology, at its purest, is one of equality. If it's flawed, then it is in good company with every other human endeavor. If it can be strengthened and become even more inclusive, then I think we would all be the better for it. Societally there's a stigma that contends that men are supposed to appreciate this sort of attention.
