Honestly, I think that any person proven to have falsely accused someone of rape should be made to endure at least the same legal penalty as the person who was accused of rape had to go through, if not more, as well as publicly releasing a statement about how they lied, and what their motivations were behind it. At the very least, that could serve as a deterrent against this kind of thing happening. Also, it could be a source of at least some consolation for the victims.
