but when women rape men by forcing them inside that is still legally considered rape. i agree that that’s an issue but that’s unrelated to this post and article.

there is a legal definition of rape. if there wasn’t penetration it can’t legally be defined as rape, thus the label of sexual assault. this article doesn’t say that he was raped, so it’s pretty easily assumed that he was not penetrated, making it sexual assault (not any less traumatizing and a tragic thing for any child, male or female, to experience). they clarified the difference to avoid being sued for slander. same reason they sometimes put “allegedly” in headlines before the accused is cha…
