Actually both those points i can support, and things they should be taught to both boys and girls, but the reason is that they would be better equipped for life. The reason this person gave is very closed minded and shallow.

It is discussing. In addition the sentencing is also not the same as a rape charge. Women also getting lesser sentences even for rape.
