Also, conservatives are the ones championing the legislation... She's asking women to basically practice abstinence against the men who preach it but at the same time against the men who agree with her. Not a terribly well thought out plan.

I oppose it not because of hatred towards women, just that it's a political message for women, so essentially "because the actors are female". Because empowering women shouldn't be about following in the footsteps of an all male cast. It should be about creating an original story that can create an equal or larger cult following.
