I've always had a very simple and short view of it. Contracts are always designed so one party can fuck the other. If both parties share a mutual and beneficial relationship be it business or personal, there's no need for one. As the old joke goes, the fastest way to make a woman fat is to marry her.

Tesla came from Croatia and was of Serbian background. Both countries have some of the most ignorant and hateful religious conflicts in Europe, aside from Ireland. Of course it's normal for him to be spiritual due to his upbringing and background. But that had nothing to do with his intelligence. I've met a lot of Serbians through work, and never met one that was not religious. And they all have plenty of stories of villages having bloody conflicts between each other that are close to the border…
