Depending on the situation it could also be as easy as to step between the two and make shure that they are at more than an arms length. The earlier a situation gets defused the easier it is to do so.

Yeah, you're right. Deescalation should happen before anybody gets violant and shouldn't depend on the gender of the "combattants".

ok, I guess your a US american. Sucks to live in a country where anybody could be carrying a gun. I'm happy to ad the exeption that one should stand down and call the cops if somebody has a gun. On the other hand this is a reason more to deescalate early on. If an enraged person uses their firearm innocent non participants could get hurt.

Then you Sir are what is commonly known as an egoist. And part of the reason why civil society is in danger. Not that there is anything inherently wrong with that. But stop and think about what that would do to society if everyone didn't care about other people problems.

You're right. it shouldn't matter if it's a man or a woman. I just think breaking up a fight is the right thing to do. People aren't thinking straight when they start fighting. Seperate them and let them cool down.

I think breaking up a fight is the right thing to do. Nobody gains anything from physical violance. Step in before anyone gets seriously injured. Simple civil courage. And it shouldn't matter who's fighting or for what reason.

I agree with you regarding those "white knights" who also start to throw punches. But steping up and deescalating a fight is the right thing to do. No matter who started it and what gender they are.
