I'd prefer a stargate on every city block.

The difference between Luke/Anakin and Rey is passive vs active abilities. When people bring up Anakin winning the Pod race and destroying the Trade Federation control ship, and Luke destroying the Death Star without any training at all, they forget that the force is passively aiding them. But Rey suddenly started using active Force powers without any training.

At my cousin's wedding there was this drop-dead gorgeous woman with a very open top. Most of the guys were like "damn! So that football game..." But the women would not shut up about her. I sat down at the parents table and my mom and aunt were going on and on about her, calling her a slut in the nicest ways possible.

I stay fairly up-to-date with the kinds of things that end up in the news. But then again, I don't see myself going to prison any time soon so who knows if they would.

True, but don't they have access to TVs every now and then? Is it not possible that someone will recognize her from the news?

No, all they'll want is to get out and be cleared. But once they get out they'll realize their fight isn't close to being done.

That shit splatters and often misses. More clean up is required.

The outrage is leaking internal documents and the seemingly unwillingness to investigate properly. If it turns out it was consensual he should get punished for a false claim. If it turns she abused her power and him, she should get punished. But as it stands now he's getting punished for alleging abuse.

Feminists don't say a word against these people, but when you use this as an example it's "tHaT's noT fEmiNIsm!"

No, that's discrimination. Racism is the systematic subjugation of a group of people by another group of people with the cultural and political power to enforce it. /s

I thought the opposite, I figured she would mark my friend down and I didn't want to do that. Besides, this was 6 years ago

I have a prime example of this. My female professor marked me wrong for not providing work. My female friend got full points, despite not providing work and not rounding her answer. My professor overheard me complaining to my friend about it, and she just smiled at us.

The special editions have him appearing in A New Hope, when Han speaks with Jabba in the hanger. That, plus 2, 5, and 6 makes four. Where he's getting six from I don't know.

This is shitty advice, nobody listen to him. Yes, cops break the law all the time - in many cases the Supreme Court has upheld their right to do so. They can legally lie to you, they can arrest you and hold you for 24 hours without charging you, and getting a DA to prosecute them is almost impossible. But for the love of God, when a cop says, "you're under arrest," you're under arrest. There is no time to "fight back," do not struggle or resist. And no, you cannot kill a police officer - you wil…

I spent a little while searching, and I came to the realization that my first comment was wrong. I'm pretty sure I stumbled on that post while I was still a lurker, before I set up my account. It's one of those things that sticks with you, but the details get muddied over time.

To be fair there were more people calling her crazy than supporting her. But there was still plenty of support.

I unsubbed when someone posted about breaking up with her boyfriend because her boyfriend had sex with another woman. Her boyfriend was raped, and she freely admitted that.

Wouldn't surprise me. A gay coffee shop owner refused service to Christian activists back in October and no outrage.

I've heard a lot of women say they joined Girl Scouts to go camping, and instead learned how to be housewives. Pretty ironic if you ask me.

I really don't care if a teacher has sex with a student. As long as it wasn't rape, they're both of age, and the teacher didn't hold grades or punishment over the student then I don't see anything wrong with it. But this article didn't divulge any of that info.

We had signs, shirts, and a booth outside the cafeteria that was manned for twelve hours. Nobody seemed to care.

3 years ago, when I was in college, my fraternity tried to do movember to raise awareness for prostate cancer. Over the course of the whole month, we raised less than half the money that each sorority raised over a week for breast cancer.

This is no different than the women who lightly harass their men over and over until the man snaps. Did the boy go too far? Yeah. But the girl went too far first. Hopefully they both got in trouble so they'd both learn a lesson. But based on these comments here he'll be suspended and she'll get counseling for her "assault."

Left tackle in college checking in. 325lbs was my healthiest weight. But it's hard to not gain weight when you're done - your body is still craving 5000 calories per day.

I countered by saying Taylor Swift should play Rosa Parks. Then I got a rant about white supremacy and I didn't bother responding.

Remember, actors just tell a story. The race and gender don't matter as long as they can act. Actors should be chosen by their skill level, not by their skin or gender. /s. I got that same argument when I was trying to figure out why SJW's we're getting so butthurt when people asked why Idris Elba was playing a Norse god. Basically what I got was the character is still a white-skinned, blonde-haired deity, it was only played by a black man. I just have to imagine it that way.

A woman was talking about how her boyfriend was drugged and raped. She wanted to leave him because he was "unfaithful." I called her a bitch, got banned. To this day I think my response was perfectly adequate.

I'm a 6'5, 330lb former offensive lineman. Nothing is fitted for me. One time I had to sit on a really old plane, there was absolutely not enough room for me. But I thought it would be okay because the person I was sitting next to was a really small Asian woman. And when I say small, I mean she only took up half of the seat. She was sleeping when I sat down, so I spread out a little bit. Nothing too much that I was encroaching on her space, but just enough to where I was decently comfortable. Wh…

In all likelihood the players went on strike because they believed their teammates weren't guilty. But when the gritty details surfaced, they knew their teammates were guilty

I actually wish the US was a lot more lenient with that stuff. If two people get in a consensual bar fight they should get charged with property damage, or disorderly conduct at most. But no, it's assault charges all around.
