It’s not really relevant to me what other people think or do. I find myself most attractive when I’m thin, so I stay that way.

It’s unfalsifiable. It’s “You just haven’t met the right guy yet” in fancier clothes.

Winning your date a stuffed animal at the carnival feels good that you provided a resource she genuinely enjoys. I enjoy that too! I love giving my SO something that will make his eyes light up. Gifts, surprises, etc. It's a human thing, not just a male thing, to find joy in caring for your partner.

Here's the problem though. Let's talk about rent. Let's say that on her own salary, she could afford an apartment that was $1700/month. On yours, you could afford one that's $6800/month (rough math). So you basically have two choices here. Either you downsize and go for the one that's $3400/month and split it evenly, which is fine, or you go for more and wind up subsidizing part. It's completely unfair for you to go for the $8500/month one and expect that she spend more than her entire take home…

I wouldn't have any problems with it- I wouldn't think it was gross, it wouldn't be a red flag. I'm actually kind of shocked how many people in this thread do care.

No problems with them here, I don't find them gross or off-putting, it's just another fun way of exploring sexuality.

Then I actually kind of pity them, because their relationships are doomed to be hollow.

That's insane. I have male friends that I've had for years, where there's zero attraction. Friends that are happily married, coworkers, gay men, relatives, and even single men where we'll hang around and talk about our respective dates and give each other advice just like I do with my female friends. I helped one friend snag his now-fiancée. You do realize it's possible to actually enjoy someone else's company without wanting to sleep with them, right?

Who cares. We're all adults, it's perfectly easy for everyone to put it up or down as they please

Ok, well, even if I don't know what I want, I know what I don't want, and that's someone stoic and robotic. The men and women that I've dated have all been best friends first, where I fell for them after a long time of knowing them, through heart-to-heart communication and shared vulnerability. So I'm pretty sure you don't know what I want any better than I do. As for it changing through the month, I'm not sold on that either. I tend to want one person for long stretches of time where I don't ev…

I don't know. I'm into that. I find myself most attracted to a guy who's opened up and been really vulnerable with me. So your mileage may vary on that one. You might find her even more clingy, feeling that the relationship got deeper.

Don't be romantic or sexual about it, get to know me as you would a buddy first. Don't treat me "like a woman", just come up and talk about whatever activity we're doing.

I was in love with a guy who my friends nicknamed "the werewolf" due to his wild mood swings. In retrospect, an actual werewolf might be easier. So sure.

I think the innocent girl was right. I've "counted" anything that involved the genitals to reach the number I use, including exactly that.

So if a woman has 5 two-year relationships, she's just as slutty as the girl with 5 one night stands?

Wow. There's no such thing as a guy who I would sleep with the third time I met him. For me, there would be no sexual compatibility with a stranger because I'd be so uncomfortable being touched by someone I didn't know, so it would be awkward as hell. But at least your method is fast- I know immediately that we're not compatible because we're each other's exact dealbreakers.

You were doing so well until step 10. If someone called me a "cock hungry bitch" or a "cum dump" I would literally burst into hysterical laughter.

But when you leave them, and you're the best they're ever going to get because they're so much lower in SMV, you've ruined their expectations forever. That's just cruel.

This one's super easy. No relationships. I've learned my lesson about dating people when there isn't a future there (which would be the case in someone that I couldn't be attracted to at all). It only causes pain. Eventually, you come to realize that it isn't going to work out, no matter how much you want to will it to work. And then you're the reason for the total devastation of someone else's life. I can't deal with the guilt I feel when I hurt someone, even accidentally- so knowingly dating s…

I'm a management consultant, primarily focusing on how clients can use machine learning, AI, and process automation of various sorts to stay ahead of the competition and reduce costs/headcount. It's really interesting work, and I actually love the consulting lifestyle.

Which really sucks as a high-earning woman. I've made at least twice what any of my past partners have made, and every time it's been a problem for them. I'm happy to be "the provider" -it's not even really on my radar- but it's tended to make the guys I've dated feel emasculated and insecure. It kind of leaves me with three options- 1. Succumb to the prevailing cultural narrative and seek out someone who makes more than me, making me feel like a golddigger. No thanks. 2. Not telling partners wh…

Then talk to the guys who think it's emasculating to be outearned. I'm just so frustrated by the guys I'm in love with claiming "I don't deserve you" or "you're going to realize one day that you're out of my league" all the time. I'm tired of them thinking that I think they're stupid because they earn less, or because they went to state schools. I can say a hundred times "I wouldn't be dating you if I didn't like you, respect you, and think you're amazing" but they just don't believe it because …

So I've never dated someone who made more than me. By chance, I've actually only dated people who made less than 1/3 of what I was making, because I don't care about that and just went for people I liked. It always caused problems, in one case a breakup. The guys I've dated can't handle feeling "emasculated" by my pay, even when I don't care or bring it up. Me living my life and buying the things I wanted with my money has always led to insecurity, jealousy, or panic that I'm going to branch swi…

She is seeing what it means to be a wife/mother. You get no freedom homey. You get to be accountable to two people now. This is why I'm terrified of getting married or having kids.

If she was to even bring it up I would divorce her I can't imagine anything in my relationship that we couldn't talk about. How do you foster openness, honesty, and communication, if there are topics you can't even bring up without someone going nuclear?
