Now being divorced for over a year, I could not agree more. She doesn't want the marriage to end because you support her. Lawyer up!

What she expects and what you can afford can be two different things. Pay her what you can afford. My soon to be ex also spent more money than what we can afford. I am so glad we are separated. It feels like I got a raise because I control my money now. Just like you control your money. Don't let her tell you what to pay her. The courts will eventually make that decision, but for now you can control it. Good luck!

You need to have separate bank accounts. I was in a similar situation and that is what I had to do. You can then give her a set amount of money to help contribute the cost of food for your child. Also, if you do not have a lawyer yet, get one! You need someone on your side. Message me if you need more advice.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
