Oh, man. That sub seems like r/RedPill, but the opposite side of the coin. Lots of anger-fueled posts. I didn't think that was possible. I thought it was a parody sub at first.

I think it's dangerous to think that there's a female equivalent for everything a man does. Terms like "nun mode" and "Stacies" or "alpha female" are a little cringey for this reason. "The men have those things/terms, so we need them, too!" But in reality, I don't think everything we experience is a mirror image of what men experience. To answer your question, the reason men are angry is that their whole lives they've been told men and women operate a certain way, and that if they "follow the …

I don't really have an opinion of them. I'm glad the entire male population isn't MGTOW, because I would like to get married someday, but, to each his own! I've known a couple of guys who are MGTOW and they seem to be very content with their decision, so I can't fault them for that.

"The Red Pill" is a state of awareness. It's knowing the truth about how men and women behave and have behaved since the dawn of time. What you choose to do with that knowledge is how TRP and RPW came about. TRP uses that knowledge to "game" the system. I won't go into much more detail about it, because I don't frequent that sub. MGTOW gained that knowledge and chose to bow out of the game. They know the truth and decide they don't want to take part in it. Married Red Pill (or whatever it's ca…

Boden has the cutest dresses. I love their 60s style pieces. But the best part is that most of their dresses have pockets!

Good question :) I used to wake up and rush to get ready and out the door. Earlier this year, I started waking up at 5am (because I wanted to start running). That has transformed my morning routine. I normally try to leave the house by 8 to get to work by 8:30am. But having three hours to lounge around in the morning is one of the best improvements in my life. Here are some other things that I think have helped: I got rid of ALL my "meh" clothes. Even the clothes I don't wear to work. I literall…

As in "Clinton?" Can I ask why you think this? She seems like the anti-RPW.

[I've never been pregnant.] His behavior does seem a little controlling, but it seems to be coming from a place of concern and protection. They could probably find another outlet for his need to protect by getting him involved in some other part of pregnancy planning or something (totally not a psychologist so maybe I just made that up). I LOLed at the comments encouraging her to pack her stuff and leave with his unborn child before they've even had a real discussion about this. Basically saying…

Halloween was fun as a kid, but then you enter adulthood and it's basically just too many drunk people and girls dressed like strippers wearing animal ears.

You have to let me know how Krav Maga is. I'd love to start taking some sort of classes again but there are too many to choose from! FYI for you ladies that are interested in trying out new classes - sites like Groupon or Living Social are a great place to look for deeply discounted month-long memberships to a variety of studios. Though, be aware that a lot of these places will only let you do one month with the coupon and then make you pay full price for a monthly membership. This is how I foun…

Perfect timing. I just downloaded Fitocracy this week! I'm not so sure I'm using it correctly but I would love to join a group or have buddies on there. I recently started lifting weights again - last time I did this I got into the best shape of my life so I'm looking forward to toning up again. A RPW group sounds like a great idea.

Thank you! I'm actually working on it now! It's a lot bigger of a beast than I thought so I'm not sure if it will be finished tonight for review.

I am planning on using a survey tool like surveymonkey.com. I think a thread with this information could get really chaotic and messy. And I'm also not sure people would want certain information tied to their reddit accounts. The survey is anonymous and most questions will not be mandatory, so you will be able to decide how much information you want to put out there. Internet safety first! Thanks for your suggestions! I think the blog/pinterest/subreddit idea is especially good!

Thank you for your expertise!!! You are exactly what this effort needs :) Would you mind if I pm you the link to the draft once it's complete? I'd love to have your input on the best way to present these questions.

We should totally have a signature RPW nail polish color. Then, if you ever see another woman out there wearing the same shade as you just give her a knowing smile. Secret Society of Pink Nails! I vote for Essie Ballet Slippers.

I think I'm going to take it as it comes. I'll try no alcohol (socially) for a month and see how I feel about that. I'm pretty sure it's not going to be a huge deal, so I'll probably be able to continue with it. This month is my birthday and I'm supposed to be going on vacation so if I can get through that, I think the rest will be pretty easy. I agree with you that I don't really get any benefit from drinking while I'm out. I do like to have a glass of wine with dinner every now and then (usual…

I agree. This sounds like a great idea. I work from home some days and could easily make my way to the Financial district for a few hours of work. Thanks for the idea!!!

I was wondering when this thread was going to be made :-) Just a suggestion for all of you looking to keep your resolutions: A couple of years ago I actually wrote my resolutions on a piece of paper and stuck them to my bathroom mirror where I would see it everyday. It helped me stick to them more than any other year I've made resolutions and didn't write them down. It's so easy to have good intentions but then go back to your old habits. Having a daily reminder is important to stay on track and…

I LOVE sausage pizza and this sounds amazing! Can you eat it like a pizza or do you use forks/knives?

Funny you should ask this. Over the past couple of years I've been collecting recipes (from online sources like AllRecipes) and compiling them in a single document. I've formatted and changed some of the recipes so that they follow consistent wording and format. Over 2 years I'm up to 290 pages and last week I decided to send it off to be published into a personal cookbook! And, of course, since I'm the one who picked out the recipes, the book will only have dishes within my preferences. You cou…

This sounds like a wonderful idea all around! Do you surprise him with this or is he in on any of the planning? I'm not in a relationship right now but I love this as a way of showing appreciation for husband or boyfriend. And it doesn't have to be a lavish, expensive experience. Thank you for this!

Late to the party here, but I wanted to add a few I haven't seen on the thread. Some are fictional. Gloria Pritchett from Modern Family - I love how strong she is but that she always defers to Jay in their relationship. She's extremely feminine in how she looks and acts. I also love that she dresses to accentuate her body, though some of her outfits can be a tad... revealing. And she's a stark contrast to Claire Dunphy, who I view as the opposite of an RPW. Kate Middleton and Princess Di - going…

I love the advice on this thread, but I think you should pick up a copy of The Surrendered Single. It echoes a lot of the advice that is being given here, but it also has some extremely useful tools for dating as a RPW. She talks a lot about not trying to control situations or other people's lives. When you are sitting at home wondering when he's going to call you're trying to control the situation. Get the book. If anything, it will keep your mind occupied so you're not waiting for a call all d…

Can I add one to your list? Roasting a chicken is a great and easy thing to master. And you get a whole chicken, plus bones for broth. It's one of my go-to meals when I need something cheap, easy, with little cleanup, etc. There are a bunch of YouTube videos on techniques but honestly, I like to just season with kosher salt and maybe a little rosemary and pop it in the oven. I'm on my phone but I'll see if I can find some good links with techniques later.

This seems to be a pretty good list. I'm sure that whatever you do to improve yourself would be putting this time to good use. I especially like your idea of hitting the gym. I don't know about the "no weeknight socializing" part, though. Especially after a breakup, I could use lots of time hanging out with people I love. I don't know if I could just wait until the weekends. You don't have to do anything destructive or anything involving drinking - maybe take a new class with a friend (you menti…

Thanks! Here's the link to the one I previously posted. It's sold out, but you may be able to find something similar at Nordstrom. I love looking at sleepwear at Nordstrom Rack, and I've even seen some cute ones at Target that look very comfortable. I bought my first few chemises on eBay from Asian sellers. I was able to get them for super cheap (think less than $10 each). I wanted to be sure I could stand wearing them every night before I dropped more cash. I own something similar to this one i…

I'm not currently in a relationship, but last year I made a decision to wear more feminine pajamas, so I bought a bunch of nighties/teddies/babydolls/not sure what to call them. Basically something like this: Imgur My ex loved them! I love feeling the silk or satin against my skin while I sleep. It took a while to get in the habit of wearing these every night when it was so tempting to reach for the usual baggy t-shirt and sweatpants. But now I sleep in these most every night. Suggestion: keep a…

This is an extremely difficult book to get your hands on, but it's comparable to How to Make Friends and Influence People for RPW.
