Fair enough dude. I was being too presumptuous there and went on a semi-embarrassing rant because of it. I've definitely read about how tough Japan is on drugs, the whole reputation thing, and the lack of mental health resources available. Maybe there is some reading you could do? What exactly is the issue? Would it better for you to move? If you can't right now, why not? Maybe even moving to a more urban area would help... I'm sure there is more English there. I'm not downplaying or disrespecti…

You assume that just because a drug is legal, it can help people? Or alternatively, just because it is illegal, it can't help people? First of all, you need to show less blind trust in your government and your laws. Second of all, you need to show less aversion to what you are told is bad without proper information. No, psychedelics are not for everyone. But YES, they have been SCIENTIFICALLY PROVEN to show benefit for some people in issues such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, and addictions. For …

let people know you don't give a fuck yeah bro best way to convince people you're badass is to literally tell them you don't give a fuck, they are sure to believe you 10/10

Dude beyond what I was talking about above, another key to success is letting go your fear of rejection to the best of your ability. The most objectively handsome and charismatic guy on the planet still isn't going to attract every girl. There is no fool proof strategy. Keep being yourself, keep enjoying the moment when you are with a group and make people laugh and exert real positive energy, and they will come. Don't focus so hard on trying to attract them and don't focus on a fear of rejectio…

No. If you are confident in your self and abilities you will naturally attract other people and not feel that emotion. Getting to that point is part of the maturation process and part from experience. True, some people never get there. In fact, validation and social acceptance are an evolutionary emotion that stems from feelings of inadequacy and insecurity because one feels a self-conscious drive to be supported by those of greater worth. They feel unable to be their own self-sustaining system …

So true man. Once I started making the crowd around me laugh and being someone people wanted to be around, all of those feelings went away and yes I was instantly more attractive to women. Just comes with experience guys. Put yourself out there be yourself and you'll get there in time. It's a natural progression.

You have no idea if they feel a sense of inadequacy unless you know them. I don't feel that way though, and if I don't I sure as hell assume they don't either. Either way, you are confusing the fact that their business marketability and therefore profit is based on public image. The motivation for acknowledgment is different than feeling a need from it based on a lack of self-worth and/or fulfillment.

Easier said than done sure but don't waste someone else's time or potentially hurt them just to fill a void in your own life. Not to mention, just like any vice, a band-aid isn't going to fix anything. You guys need to spend time on yourself first. It's cliche, it can be scary, but give yourself that time to grow.

Make peace with yourself and you won't have that feeling.

The question is: why do you need to feel validated by other people?

Yeah I was gonna say a blunt but relevant, open question is going to normally be your best bet, especially in normal everyday situations. You don't always have to just straight up say "Hi, you're cute." You can imply this with eye contact, body language, and tone of voice passively while talking about sometime more conversational.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
