I was talking about Colossians. But yes you're are of course very much correct, Paul does say that physical exercise is of only some value. Sport & fighting is a way males compete for status to acquire females, so its good advice to get fit and strong if you want a wife. Especially a lovely wife.

Yes I know that women are to submit, but what happens when they don't submit. The husband is in authority so must have power to enforce his authority, otherwise she can just do as she pleases and he is powerless. Also, God didn't curse marriage he just pointed out what their relationship would look like from now on. The woman would cause trouble and the man would stamp it out.

The stuff about physical exercise being of little profit, was about physical exercise for the purpose of spiritual reward. For example, becoming vegan to combat sin is of little profit, all it does it wear you out.
