I was fired the same way by a woman supervisor (suddenly and without warning) due to "poor performance" even though I had never been told I was doing shitty work. I don't know if I can help, but here are some thoughts. 1) HR might not be able to do anything. 2) Do you have any other contacts/people at your firm you trust that you can talk to to get another position?
