Sounds like someone who should be smoking weed everyday. He'd be even worse if he didn't

Yeah you're probably right. The internet tends to distance you from the fact that there's a real person with feelings on the other end. If this was a friend in person i might have made a similar comment with a friendly joking tone. I'm sure its more of a thought experiment for the purpose of broadening the kids thinking, and the kid understands that.

You argued that your life was more important than hers. If that is how you feel, it would not take a great leap of logic for her to conclude that your actions would align with your feelings in a situation were it mattered.

So you basically told your 12 year old daughter that you wouldn't give your life up to save hers? Great dad

You do realise that you never mentioned anything about them having zero filter in your original comment? Based on what you said, that was my assessment.

They knew you were wearing the same jeans, the were passive aggressively pointing out that they'd noticed.

What does 'dress up instead of down' mean?

Turns out I misread your comment. I read it as - My situation was the opposite. When I was 18 my family moved, and I assumed I was going with them. I instead got a couple of roommates and stayed in the same(rented) home. That single "I" turned it into a story about your family moving out and leaving you behind. Much funnier

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
