I don't think this is fair. If the child is born and the mother decides she doesn't want to be a mom anymore, I would say she would also receive the title of "deadbeat". Two difference scenarios. It think the problem comes down to the father not having a say in an abortion. Now that is one heck of a difficult controversy, as there is not equality in biology...

I'll bring in the medical aspect here: The primary reason they cut the vagina is to prevent ripping. A rip is not controlled and can heal in horrible ways. A controlled cut prevents this. It also has to do with the safety of the child. Trust me, no doctor wants to cut your vagina for fun. Most women will rip during childbirth, so the surgical cut is recommended. She can thank the doctor later when her vagina heals properly and doesn't end up looking like it went through a garbage disposal.

If they are qualified, they are qualified. I have met plenty of women who I would trust to hold their own in the front line, there are less of them than men, but they exist.
