Going through the legal process can be very difficult for the rape victim, and sometimes it's easier to drop charges and settle out of court. I agree the counts of women lying about rape are too high, but higher still are the actual cases of rape which are trivialized and marginalized by our legal system, probably as a direct result of all the false reports of rape.
