Did you not read his original post? He was fucked over by the "mother" and is pretty sure he isn't the father. He has every right to break into a happy dance when he finds out he isn't the father. Why would he want to be attached to that type of woman (or person even) forever? I don't think he is being an ass but you expressing frustration over the situation.

As a women, I would be horrified if a cafe attempted to give me "priority seating" simply because I have a vagina. Not all people within a "group" have the same shared experiences and to imply that they do is pure discrimination. I am a female who worked my ass off earning an MBA in healthcare administration and get paid a very good wage. I don't experience the wage gap (which is a myth) and I don't need people assuming I do because of my sex.

I am not surprised this happened but I thought it was against the law to discriminate against people based on traits they have no control over? This is no different between charging a man more because he is male and charging a black/gay/Muslim/disabled person more... Yep. That is the biggest issue for my male friends who are not willing to marry. Many of them saw their fathers getting screwed and are smart enough to realize that they have to protect themselves.

That is great. I honestly hope that they are wonderful parents. I don't really think them having sons means they wouldn't influence their child's desire. Do they have a daughter? Regardless of the parent's gender or sexual orientation I still believe there needs to be a lot of therapy prior to this medical treatment to ensure kids are safe for every single case.

I think it's awesome for people to do what makes them happy. I have no hatred for transgender people at all. The only problem I have with this story is that an 11 year old isn't capable of understanding the long term consequences of this medical treatment. I also think children at this age can be influenced by their parents without the knowledge of medical professionals. This isn't transphobic it is concern for a child.

Yep! I hate to say it but there are women who truly hate men. It wouldn't surprise me if they simply didn't want their son to become a man. There should be a lot of counseling required prior to taking such drastic medical treatments on a child.

I am sorry you went through that. Ugh. What a horrible nightmare. Have you ever gone to counseling or tried to see if there are any support groups in your area? I had bad anxiety at one point because of a bad situation and I saw a therapist that specialized in a technique called EMDR. You recount your experience while doing specific movement with your eyes. It sounds stupid but was really effective for me.

I've read a few studies on the topic of using puberty blockers on young people and some have said there would be no side effects and a few others have indicated that it can cause sterilization and can actually stop growth in important areas. I think the way we combat it is by women publicly denouncing such bullshit and defending the right of men to be judged based on their character and not on their penis. I am a woman who is attempting to do my part for what it is worth... It is unfortunate but I think the rhetoric has made it almost impossible for men to defend themselves. Hopefully more women begin taking responsibility for letting radical feminist invalidate the opinions of men.

My mom was a neo-natal ICU RN for 30+ years as well and she told me that when she began practicing all the doctors would conduct the procedure but by the time she retired there was only 1 doctor who would perform it at the hospital she worked. The issue is that someone who kills themselves isn't mentally healthy and cannot be judged for acting in a way that doesn't make sense.
