Do you or the men you date have any difficulty reconciling your desire to be financially self-sufficient with your feminity?

This is a disgustingly manipulative behavior. Please do not lie to her. There's nothing wrong with not being sexually attracted to someone. Women like it when you respect them enough to be honest. Maybe she'll become appealing to OP after they've established a platonic relationship. Then he's got a shot without completely dehumanizing her. Jesus.

I'm with you. It is common courtesy that the inviter pay. Of course, there are very simple, polite ways to set up alternative arrangements beforehand. I get the feeling OP neglected to make it clear he wanted to go dutch.

Aim for a lady in your league and start with a simple 'hello.' Shoulders back, head high, nice smile. If conversation starts, then offer a drink. If she was just being polite, she now has in…

Even if all of this isn't factual (sometimes I accidentally touch folks), it's a great mental framework to adapt if you want to gain standing with the ladies. Were I to accidentally or intentionally let my leg linger near a person, and were that person to respond with flattering interest, I'd be extremely likely to at least entertain them. Assertive, confident people are sexy.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
