Hey dude! I was never really insecure about my height, I’ve personally always liked being more versatile (I joined the military when I was 18 so stuff like that and running mattered lol). I’m also really grateful that surprisingly I’ve never been bullied for it. I’m probably out that age range now, but I just sorta always had the mindset that if someone did give me serious shit for it or try to intimidate me, I’d just beat the shit out of them right then & there even if I get my ass kicked lol, …

No lol this was just a most recent example. The reason I wouldn’t have asked for her number is because we were on a long haul train and she lived waaaaaaay far. I wouldn’t have come into Reddit to complain even if she said no because like I’ve said, I’ve personally noticed most women react quite positively. Even if they’re not interested, most people are still quite respectful about it unless they’re assholes (which you wouldn’t want to interact with them in that case anyways) or like totally la…

But that’s why you first ask the girl if you can sit down next to her or whatever - or in my case, I asked if she was lost & needed help. I promise people don’t bite lol

Exactly, even if you get rejected - no harm, no foul, just handle it with grace. It’s part of the learning process. I just think a lot more guys who do cold pickups would maybe have better success if instead of trying to get 50 different numbers daily, maybe just try to have 1 meaningful interaction with a girl you’re actually interested in learning more about.

Sorry if my post was confusing, I’m the worst storyteller ever lol. Basically cute girl looked a little lost (it’s a pretty major train station), I went up to her & asked if she needed help, helped her a bit lightly flirting and stuff, she opens up talking and stuff and asks if we want to sit together since we’re on the same train, etc. We spent the 20 minute train ride talking, and giggling, and lightly flirting but I started backing off once she dropped the line that her bf studies in the city…

Hey sure, I don’t mind posting a face pic here. Sorry this is my recent selfie I posted on the roast me sub under a different account earlier this week lol. Honestly nothing special just average, maybe even below average if I’m being honest. And in height I’m waaaaaaay short like barely 5’4. And ya I’ve been with girls like 5’2, 5’7, and 5’9 idk I secretly have a conspiracy theory that maybe height isn’t as much of a factor to girls as much as they think.. like they think height is what makes a …

People like validation & reassurance, friend :) not just girls. But thank you for commenting, that is pretty much exactly what I was trying to stress with my post!

The goal is to see if you like and vibe with her. If you do, then try to set up a date That’s exactly it, I think more than seduction I’m just interested in people. So I’ll randomly just make conversations with girls I fancy just to learn about them or see whether they’d maybe like me too lmao

Imo it’s not because it’s not inherently a normal way to go about starting conversations with strangers. By really taking the time to get to know the other person with a genuine pleasant 15-20 minute interaction, you’ve made the encounter feel more normal & the person likely feel much more comfortable about the situation. If you just approach women asking for numbers hi, thx, bye they could still be confused on your intentions. With a 15-20 minute interaction, imo they should have had enough tim…

I don’t. At all. If y’all want I can upload a picture on here and you guys be the judge. I’m in really bad need of a haircut though lol. Also I’m super short (5’4) so definitely don’t have too much of an advantage. I genuinely believe people don’t have time to be way judgemental over superficial things like looks (as long as you’re clean), & height in the way they’d be quick to swipe left at an online dating profile, since you know.. they’re too busy talking to another person & feeling out vibes…

That’s very true, and I’ll admit I struggle with that sometimes myself. During the encounter, you can test the boundaries while talking with some very light casual flirting. Like make a casual comment that the girl is cute or give her a compliment that she looks really good in her style or something & see how she reciprocates.. Then when you’re getting ready to leave, be sincere that you’ve really enjoyed talking to her and ask if she’d be interested in switching numbers & maybe meeting up somet…

When I notice a girl who can keep up with my shit, I immediately get turned on because in my head I just sort of associate it that she’d keep up with sex. Pretty much when a girl is open to being witty like that, I immediately escalate to light physical flirty touch so I’ll laugh and make another silly joke back like “oooooh, 😏 so you think _____?” and get lightly flirty with some physical contact like playfully bumping my elbow against her shoulder or grab her shoulder kinda like this & give he…

I agree with a lot of what you said. I’ve personally never done that daygaming cold approach stuff, precisely for the reason you said that it can make you seem like some random unselected guy. But one day it sorta clicked for me - even when I encounter an old lady or older man yapping my ears off at the grocery store or whatever and I’m initially NOT interested at all, I noticed 9/10 I still leave those encounters smiling reflecting “hmm, that person was actually really pleasant.” I think all of…

Sorry dude, auto mod kept deleting my post for some reason so I had to restructure my post multiple times more than I’d like. I hope I was still able to get my point of sincerity across.

pretty much. And then when he’s gone ask the girl “yo wtf was up with that guy lol?” and then you and the girl have more things to talk about over that awkward encounter lol

I’m super short (5’4). I’ve noticed my height isn’t nearly an issue in genuine irl encounters as it is online dating apps. In irl encounters things like chemistry take priority over statistics like height imo. I think women place a lot of importance on height because they THINK those are traits of a confident, successful guy when that isn’t always the case. I think even guys do this, we think we want the perfect 10/10 but tbh most men would rather fall for a 6.5/10 with a personality they can re…

I’m normal looking, but very short (5’4) so being realistic, I’ve never even given dating apps a try. One thing I’ve noticed is that irl women aren’t NEARLY as judgemental over my height because other things like vibes & chemistry when having a real conversation take priority over statistics. I could respect if a woman I’ve personally met would still reject me because of my height even after a good encounter, but I’ll admit in irl context I would even find it a little strange because of the supe…

Exactly, cold approaching should be all about starting a warm conversation same way you would go up to a guy. I hate the typical “hi I noticed you over there and thought you look really beautiful, can I get your number?” It’s basically the irl version of trying to sneak into a girls dm’s. Cold approaching should be about approaching random people & the excitement of whether you’ll hit it off or not. I’ve reached the point where I’ll approach anyone I find interesting and just shoot the shit beca…

I’m super short 5’5 so I never even tried dating apps. I’ve noticed women aren’t NEARLY as judgmental when you cold approach and start a simple warm conversation irl. Other factors like vibes & chemistry are more important in irl interactions than superficial things like height

I’ve never done dating apps but in my experience (dual US/Eu national) they’re about the same. I think cold approaching or starting conversation may be slightly less common in Europe. I was at Frankfurt train station the other day and there was a younger 20-22 girl who looked really lost and confused. My provider instinct kicked in (I’m 27) and I’d been super lost just like her 15 mins prior xD so I went up to her and tried to help her the best I can. She ended up sitting with me & we talked the…
