Aside from the medical arguments, which are different between circumcision and braces, it is also typically performed when the child is at least more capable of giving some informed consent. Both can also be performed during adulthood though.

No. I already explained how that is not victim blaming. Of course the rapist is still accountable, but that doesn't mean the victim can't take precautions next time. If you tell someone who got assaulted to carry mace or avoid dark alleys you aren't victim blaming, or saying they're responsible for the attack. Actually being a model is lot of hard work, they have to maintain specific diets and need to be careful with what happens to their body. If a computer programmer breaks his arm he can still work, even if it is in a lower capacity. If a model breaks their arm they may as well be out of work at least until it heals, maybe longer. That's only because the government has forced it's way into every aspect of the healt care market. Insurance fundamentally doesn't work if everyone pays the same price because then you have safe and healthy people subsidizing unsafe and unhealthy people. Without government control such a scheme would fall apart rather fast because the safe and healthy people would just stop getting insurance that they don't generally need.

In both of those examples it is the parent's responsibility to explain to the child why it is dangerous to run into the street or that the stove can hurt you, and not punish them for their failure as a parent.
