I don't think the numbers are too far out of line given what I've read elsewhere and from personal experience. I only know a few men who claim to have never been physically or sexually assaulted by a woman (using the metric of if the genders were reversed). The problem with these surveys is that they are no better than the '1 out of 4 women are raped on college campus' surveys. Those surveys don't ask the basic question 'have you been raped?'

This should be done in the US. It is absurd that, while men surveyed report being sexually abused (often by women) at the same rate as women, only 1% of people charged with these crimes are women. Not to mention that many false accusers are actually the rapist, using the legal imbalance to get away with their crime and rape the victim again (figuratively)

Mansplaining - how a sexist feminist tries to insult anything a man says. It is such a childish term.

Rape trials have become witch trials. They aren't trying to catch rapists, just trap innocent men who cross the path of a sick or vindictive woman. It makes a mockery of true rape victims. Hence I made my handle.

There actually isn't burden of proof in rape cases. And if a male claims rape, the police just leave. They even peel out on the way out of your driveway.

What I find unbelievable is that, according to the FBI, a woman cannot rape a man. Even when a man is 'made to penetrate', that is not considered full blown rape, and is never prosecuted. And it happens more than society wants to believe...it happens a lot actually. And it is just as damaging as when a woman is raped, but it is treated like a joke. http://www.vocativ.com/underworld/crime/hard-truth-girl-guy-rape/

Actually the opposite. One girl said that women make less because they are on the internet shopping while at work.

I thought is was juvenile to ask children about a false statistic, since women actually make about the same as men for the same job http://www.payscale.com/gender-lifetime-earnings-gap The reason women make less appears to be because of life choices around 30 years old, namely having kids. The other point is that the fields women choose tend to have lower wages. Really disappointed in this sketch.

Yeah, and that is using the FBIs strict guideline for reporting false rapes.

Here's a link: https://www.fbi.gov/about-us/cjis/ucr/crime-in-the-u.s/1996/96sec2.pdf Page 24, under 'Nature'. Or you can search the doc for the word 'false'. You will often read that 'False accusation of rape are in line with other crimes', but there is no study showing this. These are people just repeating propaganda they have heard, or worse, people knowingly repeating a known false claim for their own personal reasons.

I tried to look up the source, but couldn't find it. The last data I know of is from the 90's, where the FBI claimed the average unfounded reporting for ALL crimes was 2%, while forcible rape was 8%. Keep in mind that the FBI had a strict methodology for reporting crimes as unfounded, so this is a low estimate. Also, keep in mind that the FBI defined rape much differently then, so the reports back then would most likely have to involve physical struggle, and not a complaint of "I got drunk and d…

Sadly, you're right. The DA does not want to look like they are weak on rape, so will not pursue charges on a false accuser even when a conviction would be a slam dunk. Of course, these cases are just 'dropped' and don't count as false accusations.

There should be two different names: 1 for a person accused of a crime that was committed by someone else and another for a person accused of a crime that never happened. The latter is so difficult to defend, because it is often impossible to prove you didn't do something.

This story can be boiled down to 2 quotes: "I regret it because I didn't know it would lead to this [arrest]," "I feel like it's just stupid, just a stupid charge that shouldn't have to happen," That sad thing is that she is right. But the only thing that will stop this insanity is for feminists themselves to live in fear that they can also be put in front of the firing line. (I'm not saying this girl is a feminist, but she is a female being charged for something ridiculous that males get charge…

1 in 4 women have NOT been raped on campus. This is based off of a vague survey that never asked the question "Have you been raped on campus?" http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/no-1-in-5-women-have-not-been-raped-on-college-campuses/article/2551980 If men were given this same survey, the results would be the same. If you have sex when you are drunk, you were raped according to this survey. Men tend to be physically more powerful, but abusive women choose to be with passive men, and almost every …

Work done by women isn't valued as highly. This is anecdotal, but when I was in school, my lab partner in Bio was one of the smartest people I studied with. She was on her way to med school. She won a scholarship to research whatever she wanted. I was shocked when she told me she decided to study the "portrayal of menstruation in popular culture". She changed to a sociology major. This has most certainly changed her earning potential. I've seen many smart women (and some men, but far fewer) get …

I couldn't read the wsj article because of the login, but I agree with what you're saying. As for STEM, women are flooding into STEM right now, and within a few years, the gender gap will be smaller, thus increasing women's wages and, once again, further eliminating the need for the feminist movement. We may be closer to that point than I thought. It's just another example that the feminist movement has met their goals and needs to be called out when they promote a blatantly sexist agenda. Thank…

Women make less than men for the same job. I'm not trying to argue, it's just a statistic.

The handling of rape investigations has become atrocious. It is clear that a rape victim will not repeat the accounts verbatim every time, and will mix things up. Juries understand that and will allow for that. The mock question "What color was his shirt?" is not relevant in reality as the jury will not expect the witness to remember such detail. However, when the majority of details change, or the 'I don't knows' all turn into solid evidence at trial, then it is a different story. From the few …

Is this really what we've come to? Do we really need to record every second of every day of our lives? Sadly, yes. What will change this? When feminists start to get falsely accused of rape.

It seems as if these feminists never made it to second base. Who the fuck asks "I want to rub your boobies. Do you consent?" The answer would be "I did, but now I'm not in the mood." The old days of "No means no" was very clear. Now, the 'consent movement' wants to pretend like a girl taking off her clothes and getting into bed with someone is not consenting unless she verbally says "I consent". By extension, the man must say it as well. Well I don't want to say it. The women that I've discussed…

Falsely accused men are the next 'Take Back the Night' movement. Falsely accused men are very similar to rape victims. They've had their lives permanently altered, and the scars remain for life. One day, society will realize that these men are rape victims as well.

The most frightening thing is that he spent 16 years behind bars for a crime that he was verifiably nowhere near. Something left out of the documentary is that the body was not burned in the pit, the remains were moved there. Someone set him up for sure.

Agreed. Though there are issues with the pay gap and maternity leave (though there should also be paternity leave), women have achieved or are close to achieving equality with men in most areas. Unfortunately, the movement has become an overrun with women that have a less than noble agenda, often some reason that makes them discriminate against men.

When feminists adopted all the behaviors that they don't tolerate against women, I realized I was no longer a feminist. If you're a man and your opinion differs from a feminist, you are 'mansplaining'...you might as well go drown puppies.

San Juan County Chief Deputy District Attorney Dustin O'Brien said the public should be aware that false rape reports are not typical, despite the charges against Woodis. "You don't want something like this to have a chilling effect or to make a jury believe that false reports are common, but they do happen," O'Brien said. We are in a period of time where every time a woman lies about rape, public officials have to repeat the lie that it isn't common.

Here's a list of 8 false allegations: http://dailycaller.com/2014/12/14/here-are-eight-campus-rape-hoaxes-eerily-like-the-uva-rape-story/ It points out that false accusers want the spotlight and therefore are more likely to follow through an accusation than a rape victim who is terrified to recount his/her story on the stand.

Anyone who used the 2% number is a liar. Here is an interesting article I read about false accusations: http://www.ejfi.org/Courts/Courts-23.htm "The media has largely ignored these studies and experts and has instead promoted the notion that only 2% of rape allegations are false. This figure was made famous by feminist Susan Brownmiller in her 1975 book Against Our Will: Men, Women and Rape. Brownmiller was relaying the alleged comments of a New York judge concerning the rate of false rape accu…
