https://www.reddit.com/r/FemaleDatingStrategy/comments/e5hyzx/establishing_assertiveness_queen_energy_from_day/ Here’s one. I remember another post which talked about why it’s important to wait to have sex, but also said something along the lines of it’s ultimately up to you. Kind of concerned with the inconsistency here. Even among comments they’re saying different things. “It’s ok if it serves your needs” vs. “it’s never ok”.

My mom (64) recently started OLD (my father passed away several years ago) and she asked me about it. I gave her some general words of caution but didn’t want to go too hard and scare her lol. Fast forward a few weeks and she’s like “they all want sex and won’t respond to me anymore if I don’t on the first date and fuck that”. I couldn’t be more proud of her. Fuck that indeed! It’s also a good reminder for me: men don’t change they just get older.

I felt that way in my mid-20s too! I think it was partially the realization that I was fully an “adult” and partially watching most of the women I know get married or have babies. But I stuck with my gut and let me tell you that 10 years later (35 now) I am SO glad I didn’t just force it. I don’t envy the life of a single one of my married/long term partnered friends. Not a single one. They’re all cleaning up after and sacrificing their bodies, health, careers or all three to picking up the slac…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
