I watched that movie with my dad and as we watched the black and white scenes we noticed something: women would only speak when spoken to, they stayed in the kitchen, and didn't have any uppity ideas. Jk I never watched the movie. But it's interesting to see how people cherry pick what they like about "the good old days" as being the right thing to do. Sure, men stood up whenever a woman walked in the room. They also considered women as property. So let's go back to that glorious time, right???

What if OP was female and some dude took her to his room and was making out with her against her will? If OP were female rape charges could be brought or at least sexual assault charges. Don't say "nothing happened to you" when you have no fucking idea what you're talking about. OP was forced into a sexual situation against his will, that's what happened to him.

Maybe a better criticism would be "These gender roles in video games can be damaging, particularly to young people. A game can be designed that is at the same time fun and non-damaging. These are fair points. I don't think criticism of the industry is entirely wasted. I happen to agree that the majority of video games are terribly misogynist. Perhaps the delivery of the message is what's grating you as opposed to the message itself. well, the timeline of events was he proposed to her, she dumped him, the next day she filed the restraining order, 3 days later she gets a contact from google+. I don't know about you, but I wouldn't give a shit about any (let alone G+ which no one uses) online social media websites 3 days after proposing, being dumped, and getting a restraining order filed against me
