She also immediately took stake in everything I own. No she didn't. You gave it to her. Sorry to be blunt about this, but you carry at least 50% of the blame.

I realize the case was closed (never open really since they had reached an agreement) but when the husband filed the papers he was presenting new information. What if that information was that the mother was now a crack-head and convicted of armed robbery? Is the system obligated to read new information when a child's life is on the line? If it's not then the system is broken and needs to be fixed (which is what my point is). If it is then the judge seriously fucked up. Either way it shows that …

We don't know what makes her unstable because the judge never read the papers. As for the case and State laws, agreed, it was complicated.

They had agreed to the custody when the mother lived in the State. When she moved and still wanted the kid to go to her in the summer the father filed the papers. The situation had changed and the father files the papers to inform the courts of what had happened. The situation had changed. There was new information. The judge should have read the papers. Period. If you feel like it please read the article and let me know if anything I have stated in false.

The 4 year kid died a brutal death. The father was right. The judge should have read the information. One life would have been saved. Many lives would have been spared a painful existence. The system failed. The system continues to fail. If you don't see this then you are part of the problem.

When new information is filed in a case then the judge should read it before passing judgment. I don't think this requires anymore explanation. Do you know how many parents say the exact same thing he said just to get custody? That's the point really. The system is broken and needs a major fix. maybe someone challenging the system and winning a major settlement will force this shit to stop.

Joe Stacy, in a divorce court filing last November, warned of his fears. His estranged wife was "unstable," he wrote to the court: "The mother has abandoned the child and I'm afraid the mother will come and take him and I'll never see him again." But the judge in the divorce case, Maura T. Smith, told The Associated Press that she never read the filing. Judge Smith said that Ethan's parents had worked out a settlement, including shared custody, and that the finalization of their divorce last mon…

it really depends on why the guy is "poor" ... is he poor because he is stupid and lazy? or is he poor because he likes to pursue the none material side of life such as knowledge, health, love, art, music, travel, etc ... it's realy just a question of what you think life is about. If it's about money then by all means marry for money.

they regret not having lives filled with love, especially since the economic meltdown has wiped out so much "wealth". maybe those women married the wrong person. Maybe their love was an illusion. all i can say is that i see a lot of well off women that are miserable and wish that they had not chased that material. maybe it's just they way things are, rich or poor people tend to regret their lives.

We all know that this has been true for a long time, and i say good. Let them marry for money if that's what they want. It just acts as a filter for those of us that think there are more important things than money. I have a lot of female friends that took money and security over love and friendship. It was their choice, most of them regret it now but it's all they knew and they are better humans because of this mistake. They just didn't have any good role models when they were growing up and th…
