Give me a break. Two witnesses, both the parents of the boy, heard the woman say she raped the kid. AND the kid talked to a POLICE OFFICER about it at the time, which is certainly documented. Enough with the rationalizations. The kid shouldn't have to pay child support for a child who was the product of his non-consensual sex. I don't believe this is even up for debate.

Read the story. It's not that he is claiming statutory rape. The kid is saying he was rape raped by the woman -- forced to have sex. The parents are witnesses, and he talked to a police officer about it at the time.

Again, he is claiming she raped him by forcing him to have sex with her -- quite possible. But with that said, I totally agree with you. The double standard is fucking ridiculous. I was just reading a story about a 16 year old boy having sex with his 14 year old girlfriend -- the mother freaked out and had the kid arrested. His life is ruined, just for doing what almost every other 16 year kid has done since the fucking dawn of man.

This story is nuts. The guy was a victim of statutory rape, which alone should absolve him of any responsibility for the child. Unfortunately, case law says he is responsible because even if he was a minor -- and because is a man -- he must have given consent. Ridiculous! I don't think that one line -- which I agree is bullshit -- negates the value of the entire post. It's not the equivalent of a cockroach in your chocolate ice cream. I wouldn't throw out the whole thing. It's a positive thing whenever anyone -- feminist or not -- identifies a double standard in which the oppression of men is acknowledged. I don't know what you people are bitching about. The blog makes an excellent point about the double standard regarding sexual harrassment. Men are held accountable by the public for behavior that women get a pass on. To me, this is really the crux of the issue when it comes to men's rights. Also "What about teh menz" is a great blog. I've been quite impressed with it.
