I'm not a fan of US's justice system but Europeans deinifition of justice is not really a just system in my book! Someone mentioned that in Europe you could face a sentence of 8 years for murder! I'm like is that serious? I'm not gonna argue for capital punishment or life sentence or whatever but 8 years for taking away a life?!!! or like this case. This was posted in this sub yesterday as well. I suggested at least 6 month per person so a total of 25 years min! Majority didn't think I'm too crazy but still a few thought that's too harsh. I too agree that rehabilitation is superior in many ways to retaliation with the exception of serial criminals, whether they have killed, stolen, abused or conned their victims.I just don't think you can really rehabilitate someone this sick and whether the punishment is nearly enough even considering your point. 21 or not, she is grown up enough to know what she was doing was not only wrong but pretty much evil.
