Doing the ‘right thing’ is seldom applauded, because the outcome is often boring. But you’re right, when we do the right things, they tend to come out somewhere in your favour. The intention behind these acts needs to noble to truly harness the benefits of divorce. Having said that, the mindset of doing the right thing should be supported with caution of always looking out for yourself. Stand up when you need to stand up for yourself. If you get lost in the muck of emotional baggage along the wa…

Right, thank you. I could see the benefit of using both a mediator and a lawyer, but with a greater cost.

Really insightful perspective. Thank you. I would need help to manage the kids on my own, but I could do it. I'd fight for them every inch of my life, we still plan to have me involved either every weekend or every second weekend. But yes, if she did any of those things (including alien abduction) I would be there for my kids, no hesitation.

My symptoms were unfortunately exasperated by all of this. While you point out relevant things like looking at ourselves into how…

Thank you. Yes, I mean it's a lot more complex than that, but in a nutshell yes this is what's happened. My twins each have a 50% of inheriting it and my wife doesn't want to know if they have the gene either. Anyhow, thank you appreciate the encouragement

Thank you. I am no longer able to work. My neurologist signed off on that about a year marking symptoms back a year before that. Ironically around the time of their birth and when my Mom lost her ability to make decisions and care for herself due to HD. She is toxic and mean spirited sometimes and those traits really came out after she had children. That’s been hard on her and I have some empathy for that. However, it’s also hard with all of my things going on to remember to stand up for myself.…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
