Keep them emotionally and physically distant (i.e. courteous and amiable but not overtly friendly) and they won't (read: shouldn't) bother you. Front the way you described them, I don't think there would be a problem. Pro tip - do not discuss MGTOW or anything remotely related with them. They might misconstrue it as misogny etc.

I've had a few such moments myself in high school. I remember one time I asked this girl out whom I fancied since middle school but hadn't had the guts to ask her out.
